As a Devils fan, I hate Quick.

As a hockey fan, one of the best goalies I’ve seen in my lifetime.

  2. Is there any debate?

He’s probably the best American goalie ever, won 2 Cups, has the most wins.

  3. Sea_Sheepherder_2966

I think Dominik Hasek was the most unorthodox goalie !! hence the Dominator ! what is quick’s legendary nickname?

Got to be first ballot. Most wins by US goalie, three cups (one they barely made the playoffs to winning it due greatly to his play) and from a goalie pov literally changed the game with his style, VH and RVH were popularized by him.

  5. 100% agree that he is a HHoFer

But he was far from the first goalie to play an aggressive, crouching style. That was pretty much all goalies in the 70s/80s.

Was rooting for the rangers when they played them in scf because Lundqvist deserved one, but damn Quick got the upper hand, I was a bit sad. Great goalie

    For sure!

    Top NHL Goalie Wins (All-Time):

    1. Martin Brodeur: 691

    2. Marc-Andre Fleury: 561+ (Active)

    3. Patrick Roy: 551

    4. Roberto Luongo: 489

    5. Ed Belfour: 484

    6. Henrik Lundqvist: 459

    7. Curtis Joseph: 454

    8. Terry Sawchuk: 445

    9. Jacques Plante: 437

    10. Tony Esposito: 423

    11. Glenn Hall: 407

    12. Jonathan Quick: 410 (Retired 2026)

  8. He has three cups and a Conn Smythe… End of the discusion.

As a Sharks fan, Quick deserves to be in the hall of fame.

  10. Recent_Mouse3037

I do not think a whole article was necessary on this subject.

  11. 2legit2-D2

I agree he should go in, the only thing against him is he didn’t win many personal awards and was only top 3 in Vezina twice.

  12. 2012 playoffs Quick alone probably cemented his place in the hall

  13. Outrageous-Estimate9

Since when does 400 wins = HHOF?

For that matter; Quicks stats are PADDED (we have had the OT win 3 point game arguments for years now)

And as the main these stats are substantially padded; remove them and he drops down to below 300 wins

Kings win alot of OT/Shootouts during his tenure back to 2008

    7+8+12(!)+11(!)+6+3+12(!)+3+14(!!)+2+11(!)+9+8+2+9=117

I mean yes being good in shootouts is important but cmon… we both know the Kings were notorious for grinding out games like that (can you imagine what Brodeur stats would look like if the trap era Devils had OT/SO wins?)

  14. Nobody who knows anything about hockey needs to read an article justifying Jonathan Quick being in the Hall of Fame.

  15. Lundqvist went in on the first ballot with one appearance in the Final losing (to Quick) in five games so yes, he is in.

Are there people who don’t think he deserves to be in the HOF??? Because they’re wrong.
