Jim. Your face camera or booth area is very dark all the time lately! Great show guys
Wouldn't be the all time leader if Ducky didn't get moved for Housley.13 seasons for 55 and only 9 for Dale to get those points. They shouldn't be in the same conversation.
Jim Toth already making the excuses for Chevy for when he’s asleep at the cabin all summer
I like the Idea of moving Pionk for a 2nd line center.
Jim still believes in an aging core. Yeah, Scheifele had 101 points, at age 33. Highly unlikely he he continues this production going deeper into his 30s.
Kyle Connor doing Kyle Connor things, like being lazy on the backcheck and allowing slow as molasses Mark Stone to beat him down the ice and score shorthanded?
Hellebuyck is getting older and continues to be worked into the ground because coaches are scared to tell him no. And he probably sees the opening in Florida, where he'd have th opportunity to play behind a better team, with a front office willing to do whatever it takes to win. Morrissey is getting older, and may be the best trade asset they have out of the core.
Jim keeps talking as if this core has won cups. They've won 4 playoff series and all but one of them are over the age of 30.
That's what I been saying if we finish 7th/8th/9th draft lottery.
Move a prospect(like Lambert)+roster player like Demelo/Pionk/Nino/Vlad for a 2C like Mercer,KentJohnson,McTavish,Wright someone young enough with team control can still grow stay here long term. Scheifele is 33yrs old the core is aged we have a 2-3yr window and need to go for it. You don't want to say oh I could have done more but didn't,you need to be able say I gave these guys best roster I could.
Ofc I'd like a Elias Pettersson,Orielly,JtMiller,Zabinejad,RobertThomas,Barzal but feel everyone has us on NMC/lists.
Nothing is wrong with the team but I feel that 2C. You can convince most on a run it back.
What's the point of saying a Lambert,Yager,He,whoever that 1st is Lawrence/Bjorck could be good one day when most prospects don't turn out look at Vegas whenever there's a big name McCrimmon makes it happen. Doesn't care if it's a vet on team having down year/or giving up 1sts/top prospects they gave up NickSuzuki…(But won a Cup)
I definitely dont want any of the core traded unless they are a cancer/or they ask to leave so Hellebuyck,Connor,Jmo,Villardi,Scheif,Lowry, are staying unless they want it.
I have been saying even when Namestnikov looked good best team in NHL/Lowry before injury/Toews since PLD left.
We needed Horvat when Vancouver traded him,Cozens/Peterka when Buffalo,BraydenSchenn,Kadri,Barzal when he wasn't getting along Islanders came out asked for trade,Couture before LTIR/ended career,Duchene/Johansen after Nashville. A top dman play with Morrissey despite how Demelo fit when Flyers were contemplating trading Sanheim,Provorov and so on.
McIntyre saying buyout no way I feel canucks, alot of NHL teams would trade for Vlad/Nino even if 3rd-5th rounders in offseason.
Note whoever we get if it's Mctavish,Mercer keep in mind they won't be having as much pressure just be them. They will be pp2/secondary scoring play with Perfetti/Gabe. And score 40-60pts if they keep developing great if when they turn 27 they can be the 1C and Scheifele turns example 36 be the 2C is what we need. Not futures
Chevy has had his good moments and bad but he's been here 15-16yrs… we had Noel,Maurice, intermediate Lowry,Bowness and now Arniel but 1 GM. I do think Chipman would like to keep Chevy run organization like a family business maybe if Toews retires/Wheeler/Ladd wanted get into managment be like Spezza/Dubas,Cambell in Florida learn the management and take over for Chevy/Heisinger. Note we are a small team as cap rises it's a business and we unfortunately will have internal cap/even though mangament/coach doesn't have a cap I don't think like the Leafs/Vegas paying GM/coaches 4.5m dollars isn't happening in wpg nor the idea firing Arniel similar Evason/Cassidy/possibly Berube,Gallant ect.
I do feel we could use a tough coach but definitely understand Jets being worried about core getting pissy cause benched/being held accountable treated bad in a market we need guys to stay that style coaching Chipman wouldn't want.
“Best goalie in the world.”
Not anymore.
Nope.
Scott Arniel creates an environment that clearly the players want nothing to do with.
Simple.
Hopefully Barry Trotz wants one more job.
Helly is a bum.. does not try because they missed playoffs. He is not pro he is a diva. Lets in 10 goals in 2 games he is a loser
Wow let’s be real time to Clean house here it not changing any time soon
Get a person with a Great track record if it’s a New GM 12 year of on off on off never gotten to a Stanley Cup final Edmonton had two times now jets Nothing
Players were on Vacation I’ll take a million dollars to stand in front of the Net.
Who cares about the Jets million dollar players I’m not supporting people who play 16 minutes a game
Trading a top 10 pick because we need to help the aging core is a great way to ruin this franchise for years to come. Thinking you're closer than you actually are is the exact problem Vancouver has right now. Clearly our scouting staff is terrible we have not had a successful draft pick in a decade outside of Cole Perfetti a top 10 pick. (Who could have been home town kid Seth Jarvis a significantly better player btw) We need the pick in the top 10 because otherwise it isn't clear enough to our staff who will actually be a good NHL player.
