Agreed, 100%, Kaner is a keeper, unlike anyone on 3rd or 4th lines.
It would be a shame if he retired elsewhere.

I've come around on Kane, keep him to compliment Cat. If they want to keep Larkin, then I can see Raymond getting traded.
Nah! Team isn't deep enough in talent for a power play specialist. Up-front we need speed and physicality mixed in with Raymond, DeBrincat, Finnie and Larkin and it won't come cheap. Wings must improve their 5-on-5 play and stop relying on being the beneficiary of penalty calls, playoff hockey is tighter checking with less penalties.
This is what I would do this Off-season.. Resign Kane & rip the "C" off of Larkin & name Kane the Captain.. I would trade Lucas Raymond or Kasper, trade one of them for an All-star player, maybe trade some draft prospects away.. Time is NOW!
I don't understand anyone saying not to bring him back. Him and Cat are our ONLY 5v5 scorers.

Patrick Kane was not the problem this year, he’s earned another year. Rasmussen, Compher, Appleton.. start with those guys if you’re looking for answers why we aren’t in the playoffs

Someone who actually gets it. Kane literally played a 72 point pace (over 82 games) and was a + (+/-) on the year and ppl hated on him bc one bad play?!?
The last 20 games he played at over 100 point 82 game pace! He had 7 goals the last 18 games or so and ALL were EVG! By most metrics/analytics he was 2nd best player the last 20 games and 4th best player all year on a per game basis. It’s not his fault Red Wings forward depth was so bad he had to play more mpg that he prob should have.
If you guys want to shit on him I’d love to have him back on my Blackhawks.
Kane is a goal scorer on a team that doesn't have many. He may have some defensive deficiencies and isn't the player he was 10 years ago, but he's an offensive weapon, bring him back!

kane is probably the most points for the money on the whole team , no reason to let him go ,,,, get rid of copp rass and compher and get a superstar to ad to the core , bring up kids to fill the rest .
He makes Debrincat a better player as they have chemistry together for sure.

No, no, no. Why don't we sign and bring out of retirement Jonathan Quick and see if Tampa Bay wants to get rid of old Victor Hedman too. Stevie is not the answer, so many bad free agents signings & letting go guys like Mantha and Gots-to-be-here. Draft lottery has pimped us, and I think it is rigged up for the big market teams. I'm just so over all of them, they were in first place and still fell apart.

Took the dumbest penalty of the season. Also is horrendous in his own end and turns the puck over a lot. Is the softest player in the league and is only getting older. Anyone that wants to bring him back for another season doesn't know hockey period

Yeah. He was in the top 5 in points on our team. Best player over age 30 on this team. He still a good back bone on the power play. He has been a really good player for us.
