Overall Ducks have controlled all of the games but we don’t get help from goalies and we also don’t help the goalies out by not giving a bunch of random first grade scoring chances with sloppy plays.
Also we have to be better at actually scoring from the chances we get.

Most goals deserves to win. Look at our entire season coming from behind.
Yes she did say that
GameMisconducts
They’ve lost 8 of their last 9.

It’s not the goalies fault!!!!!

Get low down dirty goals at all costs or it’s gonna be one hell of a short playoff

Going against the grain of the general consensus to say their underlying numbers have been really good and these “expected to win” and “expected goals for” do matter even if the results aren’t there. If these type of games were sprinkled in throughout the season we wouldn’t think twice about them but over the last 10 games we’re 2-6-2 while 8th in expected goals for and expected goal difference. Continuing to lose games while playing that well at 5v5 like we have is unsustainable.
Dostal is still absolutely the guy in net and his numbers really aren’t drastically different from last season to this point (24/25: .903% and 3.10 GAA vs 25/26: .889% and 3.10GAA). He’s 25 in his first season being “the guy”… give him some grace and stop expecting him to be Carey Price.

The fun thing is the Ducks plays really good 5v5 hockey and are snake bitten as fuck while their own fan base is booing them.
Way to go fans lol

You deserve to win if you put the puck over the goal line. That’s the stat that matters. How many times have you forced that puck over that line? Do that (against AHL caliber teams), and you deserve to win.

If Dostal would’ve maintained his .903 save % this season he would’ve allowed 22 less goals on the season. That would’ve dropped his GAA and erases our +- differential as a team. He also has 2 more games played while facing 112 less shots this season.

I’m here for the kings losing to the oilers and us trying to keep the Avs under 5 goals every game.

Playoff bound is awesome. I don’t know if the end of this season means come playoff we are gonna get a doors blasted in or if they are somehow gonna turn it all around come playoff time and show up. But either way playoffs need to start asap I am ready for some playoff hockey!

They’re getting bounced in the first round. They do play some good hockey but ultimately drop the ball in the end. 8 losses in the last 9 is not good. Still the team is on the right track for the future.

inconsistent young team with lazy habits. they have not been fairing well in « the games that matter », this will be a good learning experience for them.

Dostal has had a rough season. I think the difference the past ten games though is that we’re finally being punished for not playing a full 60 minutes. Frankly, we’ve had an extremely lucky season, and the beauty of an 82 game season is that eventually it all balances out. We really need to figure out how to play a full 60 minutes.

I feel like its three things. 1. Subpar but not bad goaltending 2. A defense who is good 80-90% of the time but has moments of lapses at the worst times 3. Lack of intensity for a lot of skaters, not forechecking as hard, not getting the net front. Just “comfortably” controlling the game
If we want to avoid the avs or atleast challenge whoever our R1 opponent is, all of this needs to be better.

Too bad ‘deserving to win’ doesn’t put up points in the standings. They just can’t get out of their own way lately, and deserving for a majority of the game doesn’t mean much if you still shoot yourself in the foot with dumb turnovers the rest of the time.

They’re just waiting for the playoffs to go on a heater.
