  1. The only people that called it a rivalry was the media. They play 2 different positions and play totally different styles. Unless you want to call it a friendly rivalry it was just 2 fantastic hockey players who showed up at the right time and entertained for years.

  2. Ovi without the lockout year would’ve been nice he would’ve debuted one year sooner then sid

  3. Letang been larping as a NHL great for years now lol. Pretty large gap between him and the rest of the players involved here.

  4. Man I'm old. I watched these guys come into the league and now I'm watching them inevitably leave in the next year or so. I grew up watching guys like Forsberg, Sakic, Lecavalier, St Louis, Iginla, Yzerman, Kariya, so many legends back then, these guys are joining the ranks for sure

  6. I know we talk about two of them, but let’s not forger Kovalchuk. He started in Atlanta, and played a few seasons at NJ. As a NJD fan, every game was very exciting to watch. Ether he gave the puck away or a breakaway on PK, he was a pure thing. And NHL fans all know that NJD were not exiting team to watch. Yeah we had Parise, but when Kori came, it was another level. Too bad he chooses to go back home and play for a lot more money and no tax. Those few seasons were the most amazing. Went to SCF in Kovalchucks second season, losing to LA Kings in the finals.

  7. Rivalries belong on the court/ice/field. Competitive spirit is a good thing. Doesn't mean you can't be friends, or be a decent human being.

  8. I'm the same age as Crosby, I remember very well when they both entered the League and broke everything. I feel a bit old now, it's the end of an amazing chapter.
