I imagine the number of fans that care more about players than winning is vanishingly small.
It’s a great promotion for season tickets.

Need to bring back Torts
The players I saw lack of effort from (as a newer hockey fan) appear to be: marchenko, guddy, fabbro, and Monahan.
Am I mistaken? Or is that the consensus?
I never thought I’d say this but I think we owe Laine an apology. He was right.

Quite frankly, if you are more upset because your favorite player left because he was indifferent to your team losing than your team losing, you need to reassess your allegiances.
The time to be precious about this roster needs to end.
Edit: to be clear, the « you » is everyone, not OP specifically.
I’m completely imagining this, but to me there’s a subtext here: “if I’m here, we’re getting a new captain”. That’s not to say Boone is gone entirely, but I don’t see Bones coming back and Boone keeping the C.
I mean it’s Columbus. Look at OSU football. Win and compete for championships that’s it. Cmon.
Only player I’d truly be upset about leaving or being traded is Z. He’s my favorite and always has been. Everyone else if they have a poor attitude and don’t like Bones’ comments can go.
The kids don’t want it
They don’t skate, they don’t score, they don’t hit. They don’t fight, they float
They don’t hate to lose.
If they don’t care, they can leave. I hope names are named and we have a new C next year with Bowness running it back one more time.
Say what you will about Elvis and his personality (and skill set), he seems to really hate losing and really love winning.
I think this is the future. Jackets next year need to be looking ahead, and not back at the last 25 years and celebrating mediocrity. No more past. No more “remember these guys?”
I just don’t know how you justify NOT bringing Bones back after the way they performed.
If he says this and they cut him loose, all they’re doing is telling anyone who cares that they’re totally fine with that loser mindset.
Direct shot at Boone.
