One last dance , it’s going to be an emotional night, tuning in to Joe for the last time. ♥️

He’s been the man my entire life on this planet. Kinda hit harder than I thought. What a lad!

Buck, Tom and Jerry for the blue Jays, Bob Cole and Harry Neil and now Joe Bowen.

Those were the voices of my generation.

It’s really a shame Joe never got to call a Leafs cup victory.

Sad day, but truly a career worth celebrating. All the best in retirement Joe!

heck if they’re going to change Dundas street make it Bowen Street. This man is a hero.

Incredible career for Joe. He played a big part in my childhood rooting for the Leafs.

Is he actually going to Ottawa to call this game? Rogers put an end to the radio crew travelling with the team a couple seasons ago.

Holy Mackinaw! All the best to the Leafs voice.

Is he going to be finishing his career calling the game off a screen? Because that would be a travesty

He’s been the « voice » of the Leafs literally my entire life. I can’t picture anyone else in his shoes because he’s all I’ve known.. same as Buck with the Jays. Even if I didn’t catch as much radio as I wished in his later years.. he’s still got it. Gonna be strange without him but he more than deserves his retirement, much like RJ with Buffalo.. wish he was able to call the big one before he stepped down. Thanks Joe💙

    For future reference

Make it about Joe first, add the photo, and don’t plug 1050 at the end. Easier to add at it the start, less intrusive.

Call me crazy but the fan perception and Leafs do better if Bowen was calling those Matthews era games. We need a homer commentator for this crazy passionate fan base.

A bittersweet day in a season full of disappointment. I’ll definitely be missing Bowen’s passion and calls on the radio. I’m sure like many here, I would always sync the radio with the tv so I could here Bowen. Any idea on who the next play by play will be?

I know contracts and all, but it sucks so much that Bowen can’t call the final games on Television.

The guy bled blue and white his whole career and his final season the Leafs did the Leafiest thing they could have possibly done. Bowen deserved better.
