For the life of me, I can’t think of a single postgame I watched where they asked him questions. Usually it was Miller, Trocheck, Zibanejad, and sometimes Fox. The kids usually got talked to during intermissions if they had a goal or something.

EDIT: I remember they did talk to him after Panarin left and were looking for player’s thoughts.

Also, not saying he isn’t deserving of the award, but I just don’t recall seeing or reading much in the way of quotes from him throughout the season.

  2. First and last time hopefully….

I hoped he would rebound after all that talk about him playing injured the last couple of seasons. Saw no change in his physical play at all and he looks to have somehow regressed. Trade him while he has some value.

He sure didn’t play well against the Panthers

Newer fan – was he ever good? Or did people just like his frame and project him into eventually becoming one?

He will have a long NHL career, the same people who complain about him will complain about his success the moment he leaves. Guys with his size / tools aren’t easy to find.

  6. I thought JT Miller was the front runner for this award 😂

It feels like the Panarin story was the beginning of the end for him. Once I saw that game and msg had no closeups on him, I knew he was gone. I think that explains why Drury didn’t negotiate with him. Nothing to do with Schneider, just the award reminded me of

It’s a bummer. Much like so many guys under the Drury tenure, he actually played his best BEFORE the franchise “development” people sunk their teeth into him. Because he’s seemingly regressed every year

Shows up for media but not games?

Now THAT’S a Ranger Ron Duguay would be proud of.
