I think every championship team ever has some amount of drama surrounding the win, mainly because people get salty and mad about losing and latch onto whatever idea helps them cope, usually blaming the winner for some shady nonsense.
We have:
It was in, 18 million over the cap, and
Vasy’s illegal pads
For our loss, we have: Missed too many men penalty
Panthers have: Player safety conspiracy/ref favorite (both years I think)
Those are just the ones that quickly come to mind, but I promise there are far, far more examples.
