Saying “it is what it is” this is exactly what the coach meant.
Zach has gotten used to losing and is part of the problem. He needs to give an 100% unequivocal “yes, i want to turn this around” in exit interviews. Otherwise, dump him.
Wow! The media is really trying to start some 💩 between Bones and the players. Does this franchise control what the media asks? Do they not like Bones? Do they not want to pay Bones more if he asks for more to stay?
We honestly should be captain-less for a while. Letters are for leadership. I'm not in the room but I'm not hearing a ton of accountability here.
The promise of a new maybe next year comes deeper after the promising year we've seen this year.

These comments make it very clear, these guys "don't hate to lose." The culture in that locker room is beyond toxic and they're "ok" with losing, ok with playing subpar hockey. I'd much rather root for a team that's in last place but plays their absolute hearts out on the ice than a team full of divas who are only looking out for themselves. This team is the latter and needs a purging. These player comments are proving Bowness right. What an absolute embarrassment this team is. 🤦♀

Monny has to go when his contract is done. Guddy is great when he's not injured, but it seems he plays 20 games a season now. Send him on his way.
Keep Marchment, and Coyle if possible. Slap the C on Ollie, or leave the team Captainless until someone really shines.

8.5 mil per season for seemingly an eternity for 20+ minutes a night of hoping he doesn't make a critical mistake and then to flame out two years in a row and cop an attitude to the press when asked about it. I didn't think I could like him less. No wonder Philly dumped him.

If they couldn't play well with Torts and Bones, I am genuinely nervous for what the future holds for the CBJ.

I can’t believe that Z has the audacity to say that everyone on the team cares. If you cared you would’ve at least tried to put in some kind of effort. The reality is that there is no effort and theyre complacent when the going gets tough. If you really had fight in you to win you. would’ve gotten more physical, tried to figure something out to change but you didn’t. You’re a professional hockey player playing in the best league in the world so act like it. Being bad is one thing but being bad and not giving a damn is even worse.

Bones gave the media a silver platter of questions the players didn’t know how to answer. The message was delivered. The softball questions they usually hear didn’t happen. Hopefully they do look in the mirror and come back with a different attitude.
After listening to Boone, I know 1000% he will be gone. I don’t have any ill will obviously I wish him all the best… but I’m expecting serious changes with this team, with him at the top of the list.
