    It’s good of them to give Klingberg his 700th game. That’s the kind of stuff that makes you a little extra attractive during free agent season. 

    I’m relieved that it will be his last one as a Shark though. He’s been the hardest Shark to support this year on the ice.

    IDC about Klingberg starting (congrats on his 700th). Happy to tank at this point, but we should absolutely be sitting Toffoli in favor of Regenda to at least get him some ice time and see what he’s about. I was high on him because of his Olympic performance and would love to see what kind of talent we have in the 2 games remaining. He seems to have mid-6 winger upside and is someone we can extend. I know we have lots of those, but adding more talent means we have the opportunity to trade one of em to a contender next year for a late round pick

    With Kope and Quick retiring I had to look up Doughty. Those years vs LAK were battles. Definitely an older era.

    Drew Doughty has played in 1250+ NHL games. Hope SJS can get a long term Dman like that.

    So now is where the Sharks (and most NHL teams) seem to defy logic.

    It’s only two games, but this is an opportunity to let the kids go. Mack, Will, Misa, Cherny, Graf, even Ostapchuk should get 18+ minutes. Let Misa get Macklin time, put him on PP1. Love Wenny and Sherwood, but there is nothing for them here. Play them 10-12 minutes and give the kids run time.

    Dickinson and Cagnoni should each crack 22+ minutes. PK and PP time each. There is zero reason to play Orlov more than 14 or so minutes.

    Askarov should play both games.

    But we will get a typical 13 minute night for Misa, 15 sheltered minutes for Cagnoni etc.

    Still, gonna cheer and clap from home for these last two games, these boys have provided a lot of happy moments all year!
