One thing I will walk back a bit is the disappointment in finishing where they have. The Jets will still get a quality prospect that will instantly become the best in the organization regardless. However, the frustration lies in not getting a top 3 pick, and acquiring a player that could probably make an impact right away next season.

  2. My dislike for Chevy and Arniel grows every day. I don't want a "wheeling and dealing" GM what I want is Draft and Develop. The Jets should be trying to put together the best scouting department with the Moose and Admirals to ensure they are drafting, signing, developing and growing young talent and AUGMENTING that with Vet signings. This whole "Jet for life" country club retirement home BS that True North is doing will cause fans away, not having some loosing seasons filled with hope because of young talent on the rise.

  3. i will never forget the day where we needed a crucial extra point in the shootout and Arniel thought it was a good idea to trot out toews and nyquist. What a complete moron

  4. It hurts that his team will forever stay mid or worse unless things change within management. Chevy will never be taken accountable for the near misses and mess ups he's had in the last decade and Chipman will never not get involved. The fact this team managed to mess up a tank for whats already been a horrendous season since November purely because TNSE won't admit they made the wrong moves last off-season. What a way to give back to their fans…

  5. The mistakes exspecially at making deals has been since PLD left. Sure Namestnikov filled in/Toews but it's not just this year and I'm tired of it.
    – trade the 1st(after lottery if outside top 7)+Lambert+more for a Mctavish,Mercer,Wright,KentJohnson.

I don't see organization thinking they are bad and bringing Chevy/Arniel back. It's ran like a family business Toews will sign 1 more year play 4C after watch like Yzerman,Spezza,Sakic,GregCambell,Ward Toews will be next GM/Assistant.
Toews will be 1st I could see Ladd/Wheeler being Assistant taking Heisinger job after why? It's a business jets won't ever fire coaches/pay a GM 4.5m like Toronto/Vegas those salaries arnt public but no cap I would expect jets be at bottom of paying managment. It's also not just Chipmans money it's Thompson as investor so they need to make profit never take losses which is why they won't rebuild and this year hurts(no playoff/white out$$)

I want nino/vlad traded if team ran it back like this I'd be happy

    Connor Scheifele Iafallo
    Perfetti Mercer Villardi
    Barron Lowry Dewar(UFA)
    Rosen Toews Koepke
    Yager Zhilkin

    Morrissey Salmonsson
    Samberg Pionk
    Dumba(UFA) Demelo
    Fluery Bryson

Hellebuyck Milic Divincentiis and if they don't look ready for Backup similar Ottawa call up Reimer.

I could also see Reaves/Deslauriers being good options as 4th liner/13th fwd.

Toews isn't as bad as fans view it they don't take into consideration he's up for Masterton,Leadership, hometown,he didn't go 0g most of year like Nyquist has 11g18a isn't bad.
The problem with fans always looking for blame is Ehlers choosing leave, jets putting eggs in 1 basket with Nelson, after realizing who's left who would come to this city Nyquist,Pearson,Koepke,Toews yes the other guys could have been replaced by youth but it is what it is. The injuries to Perfetti,Samberg,Lowry,Hellebuyck didn't help.

    Guys I want jets target
    Centers
    1. DawsonMercer
    2. Mason Mctavish
    3. Kent Johnson
    4. Shane Wright
    5. MorganFrost
    6. Connor Dewar(UFA as bottom 6)
    7. Kirby Dach
    8. Max Domi

    Wingers
    1. Jake Debrusk(wants a trade played with Lowry WHL)
    2. Brock Boeser Unlikely
    3. Laine or Schwartz would just take time away from Youth.

    Defence
    1.Matt Dumba(UFA)
    2. Erik Gudbranson(UFA)
    3. LoganStanley(UFA I was happy he left and return but I wonder if he doesn't get kind of offers speculated do jets offer him something like 4m.)
    4. Travis Hamonic(UFA)
    5. Justin Barron(RFA)

    Goalies
Imo they should go with Helly and Milic who won MVP of moose. Let Comrie walk.
    Divincentiis can be AHL starter

And if Milic looks like can't do it be like Ottawa give Reimer a call.

  6. CHEVY NEEDS TO GO. However it’s True North and Chipman’s WEAKEST character is their own loyalty. Not able to change a GM in 15+ years is ridiculous. Other NHL teams would’ve gotten rid of the GM within 5yrs

  7. You don't split Scheiff and KFC. Moving Villardi off was also a huge mistake.

You keep those guys together so they can produce, and replace the players that aren't. I think the Jets could have taken a page from Vegas' playbook this season.

  8. One other thing, and this may not be a popular opinion, but I have no confidence in Arniel's ability to build a roster, and even less confidence in the Moose's ability to develop young talent.

It is SO OBVIOUS that our young talent is not only not getting any benefit down there, but they're actually regressing.

As for Chevy, I think he's done a good job despite the prejudices around the league about Winnipeg. Once we get regular success in the playoffs, his job will be a lot easier.

  9. Mostly the same roster. So it appears Ehlers and Appleton were worth 34 points.

  10. Agree, team was old and slow and lacked structure. let the youg guys run supported by the core, have a serious look at Bruce Cassidy to rebuild structure.

  11. Honestly the management is full of a bunch of old timers who think experience is the most valuable thing. With that being said, they don’t give any opportunity of experience for the young guys. Like the entry level job with 5yrs required experience, make it make sense!

  12. I wanted to see Brad Lambert playing with Scheifele and Connor. Then Rosen on a line with Perfetti and Barron until he got injured. Then put Yager on the 2nd line.

  13. The president’s trophy was cool and all but things hafta change right now. If the team was losing with a bunch of younger fellas learning the ropes in the show that would be “growing pains” and acceptable for a couple of seasons. Resurrecting fossils and losing badly is total mismanagement. The reason an elite few teams have almost perpetual success is because they always have their eyes on the future. The Jets need to learn that lesson. Look at what Montreal has done. They’re gonna be contenders for many years to come.

  14. I see Cheveldayoff holding onto the 1st rounder and taking Malholtra. Maybe Verhoeff if he slides or Manitoba Carson Carels who has risen quite a bit. The other forward option is Viggo Bjorck who has been very solid in Sweden. He is on the smaller side but has all the tools.

  15. Stanley and schenn were two of the worst things to happen to the jets ever.

The amount of young defenceman that were blocked by Stanley and subsequently having success on other teams now.

And the picks given for schenn. That high second will be a good player.

Not to mention the tanev trade

  16. Lambert, Chibrikov Yager, should all be in the top 6 next year, Barlow ahouls be given a chance too. Salomonsson 1st paired with Morrissey too.

  17. Only 21 minute long video?
I would've thought the video would be much longer considering the title cause one could go on and on describing Mismanagement of the Jets lol

  18. While we're discussing mismanagement, let's discuss how the goalie coaches have overworked Hellebuyck to the point of absolute failure 4 YEARS IN A ROW. Again this year they watched as Hellebuyck says "I love the workload." while he is a complete and utter failure in the playoffs. They sat Brossoit while Hellebuyck allowed 6 goals per game and posted a 0.838 SVV. AND Brossoit just sat there….and sat there…until he left…and won a Stanley Cup. How about the coaches be coaches and stop Hellebuyck's ego from ruining the year by allowing him to work until he's completely burnt out. This year he achieved playoff form a month early. His save percentage since the Olympics has been absolutely garbage. And they just let him play….proving that after 8 years of Hellebuyck they've learned ABSOLUTELY NOTHING. If anyone is honest with themselves, with Hellebuyck playing, we will never go far in the playoffs if something doesn't change. If Wade Flaherty isn't going to COACH why are we paying him?

  19. And we put up with Stanley being an absolute nightmare for 4 years. He finally comes good and they trade him. With regard to Jonathon Toews, I respectfully disagree. He has steadily improved all year, and he is one of the best in the league on faceoffs, in leadership, and he will be one of the best again. I sure hope he stays.

  20. Tyrel Bauer is a fantastic tough guy on defense but where is he? He's in the Moose while every team in the NHL not only beats up our defense, they take their lunch money. Dylan Demelo has no place in the league. At $5 million per year he's so overpaid it's laugable.

  21. I agree with everything in this video except one thing.
You can't consider splitting up Mark and Kyle. They play too well together. The chemistry is unreal.
"No other team does that." I guess you're too young to remember Wayne/Jari or Bobby/Reggie.
The coaches of the Oilers and Flyers never considered splitting them up either.

  22. Bucky gets $97,000 every game he plays whether he shits the bed or not
Scheifle also gets $97,000 every game time he plays
But he should be moved well they can still get a good return
Anybody that thinks he’s the best goalie in the world is out of their mind

  23. The Jets had an off year with Nino, Vladdy, Pionk and Demelo and they stunningly persisted in playing vets who were performing at rates worse than previous 4th round picks the Jets had been known for developing. They also may have had some issues with their farm team not developing talent and their scouting team no longer pulling their weight. I think Chevy made mistakes signing Pearson and Nyquist, and trading for Tanev and Schenn. Those decisions cost them drafts picks and development time….what is worse is that neither Arniel or Chevy made changes when it became clear those were mistakes. I still like the Toews signing, but it's clear he wasn't able to play the 2C role they imagined. Chevy has had real issues landing that 2C and that extra defenseman we need. They also lost Ehlers because they simply refused to play him on the first line. The Jets have stopped developing talent in an attempt to be competitive now and have had real issues sorting out known issues with their team….at least they didn't trade Smith for Jarry….

  24. I think both Arnie and Chevy should be fired. If I had to choose just one, it would be Arnie. The Jets need to develop their young players, and Arnie refuses to play them quality minutes.

  25. There will be more of the same next year. Arniel will be here next year, as will Cheveldayoff. We're looking at Mushy Middle next year and a disastrous fall coming. We're looking at a Detroit type of suffering VERY soon. It's coming……and it's all because of front office.

Get ready for intense pain. Coming soon.
