Bruins fan here. It is interesting that Buffalo wanted to play Boston, and Boston wanted to play Buffalo. Should make for a great series!
If sabres make it to the final against Dallas, this game could matter for home ice.
Long way to then but worth mentioning
Boston podcasters are all convinced they're going to win this easily. Their main reasons: Better goaltending. going 3-1 against the Sabres this season, lack of playoff experience among the Sabres players, and they think the bad early-season Sabres were the "real" Sabres and they've just been lucky since December.
One podcaster actually said "After we win this one we'll face a real team like Tampa Bay." Yeah, he said a "real team."

Wow, you have no clue about the Bruins: a one line team; Zadorov is big and mean but turns the puck over a lot; both Lindholms are good. None of that is true. Our second line (Mittlestadt-Zacha-Arvidsson) is better than our first. Zadorov is big and mean, but he is by far our best shutdown D-man (zero turnovers), and, frankly, both Lindholms suck. Our fourth line will surprise you with toughness and intensity. Jeannot is probably the best heavyweight in the NHL; Kastelic hits like a freight train; Kuraly is just serviceable. The newly configured Kid Line, Khusnutdinov-Minten (thanks TML)-Hagens is the X-factor for us. McAvoy is excellent and Aspirot is shockingly good (best D skater on the team). Lohrei is a defensive sieve. Goaltending is very good.
Sabres are a deeper team, no doubt. Like the Patriots, the Bruins are playing with house money: we didn't expect to make the playoffs. I look forward to a tougher series than you're expecting. It appears that you are a Sabres fan and not a student of the NHL (i.e., your analysis of the Bruins was wildly inaccurate).
