Trade him while his value is somewhat okay.
He’s a good guy but I just hate the way he plays.
I’d love to keep him but I think if we can get a trade for him that at least includes a 1st I’m all for it

I’ll give him his flowers for this year for achieving this, and also keeping the ranked power play in decent standing. Having Rossi helped a lot too.
Jake is the modern day Tim Kerr for those who remember.
He’s been exactly as advertised. Streaky middle six guy that can put up 40-50 points and 20 goals a year.
Paying a proven steaky 40-50 point player year after year a league average salary is the cost of doing business in a 32 team NHL. Every team has them. More teams = less high end talent. Perfectly slightly above average complimentary player. Just reach for the ceiling a little harder bro.
Out of all the issues I have with the Canucks, JDB is very very low on that list.
Yah but he is scoring all these goals now when we have long been eliminated from playoff contention. Imagine if he hit these goals earlier in the season when we needed it.
Same with Brock and etc.. many nights we needed goals and someone like Sasson or Karlsson stepped up.
Hope next season will be better of course.
