I don’t get why people are so mad at this team. What do you expect from young AHL players who get a real and honest chance to make their mark in NHL? Should they be like the leafs OR the red wings? Do yall honestly want our team to be LIKE them? Because when you demand this team tanks that’s what you’re expecting. You’re expecting this panthers team to suck ass like two teams who have been irrelevant for years.

No way they were going to tank and they didn't tank. They played as well as they could with the guys they have. I'm proud of them win or lose. And this game shows again that the cats have talent within their prospects on offense and defense. They looked good tonight. And I absolutely love it. The tankers being negative dosent help, especially when you see the players and coach praise the effort on competitive nature, it's the cats culture they've been building for years. Next season the cats will dominate. Go Cats
Ugh… Sharks losing to Chicago 5-2 after leading 2-0. We need them to score one point tonight or tomorrow vs Winnipeg. That would give the Sharks 85.
Some of these guys who need contracts are going to get raises, wherever they sign.
I know people are mad about them winning but honestly I don’t care lol. I got everything that I wanted in this game: Benning 2 goals, Alscher 2 points (unfortunately not 3), Skoog 2 points, Hovorka & Jansson points.
Other than that Tkachuk seems pretty hell bent on making the playoffs next season (which is a good thing). Hopefully Zito can get Bob signed sooner rather than later but if you ask Tkachuk about Bob, he seems pretty confident that he’ll stay in Florida (even in tonight’s post game interview).
y'all can talk about winning for the culture all you want, they still had multiple horrible blowout losses to end the season and they lost to the habs the same way they've been lately. certain players didn't contribute until it was too late and most of these guys that have been playing lately will either be back in the ahl or on other teams. I promise you a bunch of the guys you think are great were only playing that way to get better contracts, they'll fall off as soon as it matters whether thats for our team or another. We screwed the tank for nothing, thankful for the 3 finals runs and 2 cups but this was a waste not to mention a bunch of guys got hurt to end the year which means they still might not be healthy for a bit. damnit

TWO POINTS!! This season is FINALLY over!! Thank goodness. It was a long and aggravating one but it's all done now. Great to finish Game Number 82 with a blowout win over the Red Wings. It's nice to go out on a high note and take something positive into the offseason. The Panthers will learn from everything that happened this year and they'll be back to their winning ways sooner rather than later.
I know people are disappointed that there won't be a 3rd-in-a-row Cup, or even a 4th straight trip to the Finals, but it was a VERY good run. Quite a magical ride. There is absolutely NOTHING to be ashamed of here. This year just wasnt our year. It happens to all sports teams. It comes in cycles. As the old saying goes "Don't cry because it's over, smile because it happened."
Let's be thankful we have the two Cups to make up for no playoffs this year. This team is still talented and still capable of contending. We had the Olympics and injuries that interfered unfortunately. It's not the end of the world though. I'm confident about the future looking bright.
We'll be back. Promise.
Side note: I know I already said this during the stream but thank you SO VERY MUCH to Jaws, Kyle, Donna, Leia, etc for all your hard work and determination in streaming / covering all Panther games this season. In addition, we thank you guys so very much for your TREMENDOUSLY FANTASTIC work streaming all Panthers playoff games and Stanley Cup games. It was an absolutely incredible ride and I am so grateful I got to be a part of it. Hopefully next year (and after) we'll be able to stream Panther playoff games again.

If the Sharks and the Blues lose tomorrow, be ready to wave goodbye to the pick. Even though we would be in 10th, the fact that we can lose it by simply dropping one or two spots means that when I said "Panthers need to tank", several people on social media said "oh, I don't really want them to tank because it feels good to win". Yes, it feels good to win, but you gotta think in your future. We cannot be serious thinking that Vilmanis will be the next Tkachuk or that Sawchyn will be the next Reinhart. Every opportunity that you have to cash into a 1st draft pick, you fucking take it. This was their chance of making the other fanbases extremely irritated by somehow, someway, grabbing McKenna or Verhoeff, and people would be absolutely PISSED (which is a win in my book, I love seeing people pissed at the Cats because their teams suck), and we would be building a very highly touted cup contender in the next season. Gotta think outside the box. Toronto unethically tanked and now they're at 5th. And be aware, some idiot-ass Toronto-based sports reporter said that WE were the ones unethically tanking "because we're resting guys". I believe the Panthers org should sue his ass out for such a statement.

Some people are using the excuse that it's good our ''young'' AHL guys showed up. Well maybe someone like Benning, good to see he's actually decent. But let's remind everyone who actually played because it wasn't just young AHL guys. Hinostroza, Reinhardt, Boqvist, Samoskecivch, Kunin, Gregor, Foote and hell even Sebrango were much better down the strech than in the whole season. These are vets or regulars (Samo) who play a mix of the NHL & AHL. Why didn't we put some AHL backup out there? They should have.
