But if we don’t win the cup this year, we should fire him? /s
Gotta stay ahead of the bunch of ungrateful people in this subreddit.
Saw some podcaster jackasses talking about getting Rod out of Carolina: I’d politely tell them to fuck off 😅😂
Essentially 5 straight 100 point seasons, since last year we shut down it down early, surely would’ve gotten over 100 if we played it out. An incredible run.
Obviously he’s the best coach and one of the best players this franchise has ever had.
But, I think some credit should go to Tom Dundon. The turn around began after he purchased the team. Karmanos was a tight wallet menace who refused to put meaningful money into this team.
Should be in the Jack Adams conversation every year but won’t be because everyone now expects the Canes to be a top 5 team at worst. This is despite the fact that our best player is 25th in the league in points and our next closest guy is 49th. Our goalies are 32nd and 55th in the league by save percentage.
He’s the best coach in the league.
If he wins a cup as coach we need to build a statue of him lifting the cup in the plaza. We may need to anyway.
And yet people want him fired every year.
Its crazy
ALL HAIL THE GOD-KING OF RALEIGHWOOD! In all seriousness though, if we ever move on from him as coach, it better be because we either moved him to the front office, he pulls a Pat Riley and buys the team, he retires, or he decides he wants to go somewhere else. I honestly think that there would be a lot of people that would riot/stop being a fan of the team if he ever got fired, especially for petty reasons like the usual doomers say every year.
Kinda over hyping a prospect you think right?
I mean Skylar’s good but idk if he’s our best prospect.
I feel like I’m missing something 🤔
*gestures at flair*
Both as a player and a coach. Rod *is* Hurricanes hockey.
