@Red Wings de Détroit

Let it out Todd! I’m fucking sick of the figureheads of this team mincing words.

  2. doubeljack

I hope Todd does what it takes to change the culture in the locker room. This team needs an enema

  3. Salamangra

    Oh he’s fucking *pissed* ahhahahaha

Edit: I’ll expand. He needs to stay. Yzerman and Larkin can fucking go, but McLellan needs to stay. He’s hardnosed and tenacious and we need that with malleable and receptive players, not the chuds we have right now.

I like Yzerman, he did a lot for the city of Detroit and the state of Michigan, but it ain’t working. He needs to take a « promotion » and we need someone new as GM.

They had a lot of young guys in the lineup with something to prove. Todd had Copp and Compher…

Todd can be the right guy. We need about 17 new players.

Let this coach cook with a real group. Not sure who needs to stay or go, but let him clean house how he see’s fit.

The scary calm demeanor was way more terrifying than if he just yelled 😳

This team has a really serious culture problem. I almost am starting to think it’s one of the only reasons we missed the playoffs.

Keep Todd. Replace 3-6 guys with new bodies whether they’re FAs or young guys. Starting to get the feeling that Kane is not that great of a locker room presence.

At a bare minimum, Ras, Compher, Kane, JVR, and Perron need to be gone before next season.

Him and Yzerman gonna be calling or texting each other everyday

  10. HulkHoganLegDrop

He absolutely destroyed the team in the locker room. The bus ride and plan flight, you’ll be able to hear a pin drop

  11. This team has no balls! They’re not gritty in the least bit

  12. Would have been a good interview to have Torts as coach.

  13. EhhhhhhhWhyNot

I mean the lions started to turn the corner when they got that dog mentality as a roster and organization. I think we have too much nepotism in the organization and some of our players lack the grit we need. Getting hurt at C at the worst possible time didn’t help but we were pretty healthy all year.

When a guy shoots it off the backboards and it bounces off the goalie and in. Does that summarize your season?

I’m fucking exhausted with this shit. Wake me up next march so I don’t invest time energy and emotion into a sorry excuse of a hockey team.

I might be dramatic, I love the Wings. I’ll support and always watch. That said, none of these current players have earned a jersey purchase in my bar. You gotta try and they aren’t close to the 97/98/02/08 jerseys in my bar

I’m glad that Todd is continuing to call out this team and the lack of effort. The only problem is the team doesn’t care enough, or honestly respect Todd, to change anything. You would have to be absolutely insane to roll into next year without some major changes to the players on this team.

Let’s hope Todd can get Stevie’s ear on this. Enough of the “ I expect them to play better” crap from Steve. Cut them , end of story

The end of season locker clean out interviews should be absolute gold. I hope Todd(if he is still here and doesn’t quit because man he looks like he’s aged 10 years in the last 2 months and has to be over this shit) just walks in and kicks the podium over to start things off.

They’re all hoping that someone is coming to save them. Someone to do the heavy lifting. No belief in themselves.

  21. It feels like the team is rudderless. The only one speaking to the public is Todd. No Larkin, No Yzerman. No Illich. It seems a like a team without a leader. A body without a head. They’re not saying anything and maybe it’s for the best. Because I don’t know what they could say to make us think they team is anything but a mess. A gutless collection of dysfunctional hockey players. This appears to be a team that is wracked with internal turmoil.

I just know that when Yzerman gives his end of the season wrap up is given, he better say something other than the usual: « be patient. Rebuilds take time. I like the guys on our team. Etc. »

The time for that bullshit is past. Most fans are livid that we pissed away a « near lock » on playoffs this year. That was one serious, serious choke job we just witnessed and lived through. A failure for the ages. Yes, I am anxiously awaiting his end of year presser. I’m hoping for a little emotion. I’d like to hear him speak- with some fire- like when he was the Captain.
