Teddy Blueger veut tester le marché avant de signer à nouveau avec les Canucks

  1. I like Blueger, but we couldn't get what we wanted for him at the deadline. Maybe try to sign someone with a better chance of getting us value at next year's deadline.

  2. I get it if he wants to move on. Every competitive athlete wants to win, and if you can play for a team that has a chance to win something, you're going to go there. We couldn't get anything for him at the deadline, so it is what it is. I'd obviously love to have him back, but I wouldn't blame any of these guys for wanting out. Losing good players would definitely help the rebuild. I'm always puzzled by fans who demanded a rebuild going back to 2013 and now that so far, we seem to have one (but I have my eyes on you, Aquilini), fans are freaking out and acting like if we have another season like this, they're abandoning ship. Though I did notice how happy they were over one win on social media. Clueless. You know when I want to win? When it matters. I also want to lose when we need to lose. This year for a rebuild everything went well. We saw some promising young players prove they could hang and we're getting a Top 3 pick. Like it or not, if the team doesn't do this for the next 3 seasons at minimum, we'll never be a contender again. We have to take this seriously. As for Adam Foote not being able to develop the kids, Buium, Karlsson, Kudryavtsev, and Willander all look great for their first year in the NHL. Outside of Buium, probably none of them will be elite, but we just added potentially 4 young players to the roster that the team drafted who will all at minimum have a chance to play a full season with the big club next season. I'd qualify that as a success from a coaching perspective. The team was terrible defensively, but they're a terrible team. The Avs didn't win the Cup by being mediocre. They were awful for a while and got some elite players that translated into a Stanley Cup victory.
