  1. By “them” you mean the Rangers not Flames. A Flames win puts the Rangers third. Flames loss puts Rangers fourth.

  2. Kartye and Garand both showed what they could bring to the Rangers. I hope to see them both come back next season. ✌🏻

  3. Glad this season is over lol but yeah the later part of the season showed there is something legitimate we can build upon. Lafreniere was projected to be a franchise player, border-line generational even. I hope he works hard this summer and owns it! LGR

  4. Sometimes waiver picks blossom with their new team. Gustav Forsling comes to mind with the Panthers.

  5. Coming out of the first round with Malhotra with the higher pick and whoever is left at the 20-something pick of Roobroeck, Command or Dagenais—that would be great. Would sure up center depth for a while. With that said getting Vergoeff or Smits would not be terrible at all. With that said—if they do not get the first or second pick—I hope they grab a center. Malhotra or Lawrence if they are in the 6-8 range.

  6. I agree with Stenberg over McKenna. McDavid and Matthews are amazing talents. However, how many cups between the two? A player like McKenna my be huge is getting regular season points, but in a game seven I would rather have a player like Stenberg, I think. Although, some scouts have said there is a noticed improvement in physical play–McKenna has been accused of too much perimeter play, cheating for offense, lazy back checking and disengagement in the defensive zone. Where Stenberg seems to be an all around more tenacious player who is relentless and still an offensive force.

  7. Garand impressed me, certainly didn't look like a career AHLer that stumbled into the NHL out of desperation like Martin did. I'd feel very confident having Garand on 2nd fiddle. However, the way Drury runs things, I have a feeling he will sign another goalie in the twilight of their career. I kinda understand it, though. It wouldn't be fair to Garand as an eager up and comer to be limited to just the back to backs and maybe when you get those times where there's 4 games in the span of a week since Shesterkin is one of the best. It also wouldn't seem right to bench Shesterkin simply so 'the kid' can play. Part of me wonders if they'll use Martin or a similar FA as the regular, in game backup and give Garand the call when planned break for Shesterkin is coming. Or as starter when (PLEASE NO!) an injury where regular backup finished the initial injured game. Wouldn't be fair to the benchwarmer, but I'm sure there's goalie or two in their late 30's-early 40's that wouldn't mind it as an alternative to outright retiring.

  8. I foresee the Rangers winning the lottery then spending years destroying the #1 pick and killing his development

  9. When has Drury ever hit on a franchise-altering player in the draft? He's had many franchise killer picks (aka busts), that's for sure

  10. The Rangers always suck at drafting. See their number one recent choices. As long as Drury is in charge, we will blow it as usual
