I still don't understand why they refuse to play Kesselring. Is Timmins really better? Does Kesselring not PK? I don't get it.

Why does the nhl always do the wrong thing? Yeah lets have the first game from a team that hasnt had a playoff game in 14 years play on a night where people will need to be going to bed early and getting ready for work and school the next day? What a joke this league continues to be.
I think the thing that most excites me about this, is I think this is what will awake a lot of players. Namely Power and Quinn for the main purpose to show them that they will get mad to finally start hitting and see how physical they have to become to be effective. I expect Quinn is gonna get pounded in an open ice hit and Power is gonna take a lot of bigger hits in front of the net, and until they experience how hard they are going to get hit and how many calls that won't be called against them….I believe these two players in particular need to get clobbered so they can finally turn a cheek and finally realize they need to hit back. No one is your friend on the other team.
The Stars played everyone who was healthy. They’re a proven playoff team. They showed us that worrying about injuries is a losers mentality.

I'm tempted to say this is the 2nd or 3rd most formidable opponent along with Carolina, in the East, which we know is superior to the West, so this is one of the best teams in the league. You can throw all that analytics out the window now that playoffs are here. I don't give a rats ass what the numbers say I care about where the Sabres heart and soul is because we know in the playoffs sometimes and more times than not the team that wants it more wins over the team that has more talent and better numbers on paper. And the Bruins are a team that has forever been built on character and effort. The Sabres better be ready to match that intensity and raise it even higher than Boston or this series will be won by Boston. UPL scares the hell out of me he has been inconsistent his entire career and now is the time to shine and be consistent. No waiving at pucks as they float by into the net after UPL makes a great save. Swayman is the X-factor that could frustrate the Sabres ad nauseum and Buffalo has to be determined and crash the net constantly none of this perimeter bullshit or it's over. Quinn and Benson were both flying vs Stars. Norris line has great chemistry. Thought Kesselring looked good. Looks like an evenly matched round 1.
