Parmi les attaquants nord-américains, McKenna est le seul à figurer dans le top 5. Verhoeff a chuté au 4e rang. Sans surprise, Stenberg est toujours n°1 parmi les patineurs européens.

Étant donné où le Kraken sera probablement repêché, cela pourrait être l’année où ils utiliseront leur premier choix sur un D. Personnellement, s’ils ne gagnent pas à la loterie, j’espère que leur premier choix fera partie d’un package pour aider à remodeler la liste.

    I’ll pin my dreams on using our 2nd 1st round pick to get one of the twins. Then grab the other one later

    I hope we grab one of those top Ds, but Ds can take a bit to cook. I agree, if we roll badly than getting a trade package together makes sense.

    Y’all acting like we aren’t gonna win the McKenna lottery. We’re definitely getting Gavin, it’s in the bag. Only question is whether we give him a year to cook in the minors before we bring him up.

    If it’s not Belchetz or Novotny or another scoring forward for Kraken first round pick I will be severely disappointed. Every mock draft has them taking a defenseman. Which I am skeptical about because Im not sure they even know how to develop defensemen.

    This team has never selected defenseman in first round not since their inception. Never. Kraken have only developed defensemen Ryker Evans and Cale Fleury since their inaugural inception. And Im not sure counting Fleury counts because he came during their expansion year. And Ryker is Ryker. Not saying that is a good thing or they couldnt do better in the future but it’s been there MO.

    And honestly I haven’t heard a real rationale why they do this, is it because they think defensemen usually develop more slowly or something along those lines? Defensemen have usually been picked by this org, 2nd round or later. Or traded for or signed in free agency at the NHL level. So I would be seriously shocked if they picked D in first round.
