If the Flyers get swept in this series it’ll be because the refs just call egregiously bad games in Pittsburghs favor to prop up their golden boy Crosby. I can absolutely see the Flyers just hooked and cross checked all game long but if Matvei breathes near Malkin the refs have him arrested.

How does anybody look at this season and think Stu Skinner is better than Vladdy. Other than SO, it’s literally nothing Stu is better at.
Charlie made a comment yesterday on the phly podcast that he doesn’t believe there is much change for a goalie, outside of pressure, between the regular season and the playoffs. I believe that. If Vladar isn’t the type to get rattled, and I don’t see that he that type in the year that they have had him, then he’s going to be what he’s going to be regardless of it being the playoffs. It’s on the fellas in front of him.

Will we get swept? I highly doubt it. Both teams finished with 98 points, they split their season series, and Stuart Skinner is not exactly an airtight playoff goaltender himself. This seems like a pretty even matchup to me.

They play how they played all year. Playoffs/Championships are such small sample sizes you’ll see outliers but it’s just not a reality that they play any different.

I will fully admit that I am a homer and I always look at the positive side of all things flyers related, but there is no fucking way this team gets swept. And I want to think that the hottest team in the nhl since the Olympics stays hot for at least one series.
