  1. talk about a sad lookin crew….it starts tomorrow boys…..start working for next year NOW. All of you need to show up at camp in very good shape and work on those things that you need to be better at….every day. No more excuses Petey, no more moodiness, just put your head down and get to work.

  2. The Body Language gurus say the crossed arms (Brock, Thatcher and Filip) is very telling about their willingness to open up? Credit to Petey for speaking up.

  3. The biggest takeaway from this group is that the next team captain does not reside among these four. Thatcher is the only guy that I would consider among them, but as a goalie that's not happening.
It's a good thing if it comes from the youth, perhaps someone that's not here yet.

  4. What a Gong Show franchise!
The ENTIRE management team should be fired!!
I can't stand even looking at Allvin, but he didn't create this huge mess by himself.
Rutherford was run out of Pittsburgh for good reason, and has never built a team himself.
Carolina was all luck, and caught lightning in a bottle when they won the cup.
Rutherford deserves ZERO credit for the championships in Pittsburgh, as the Penguins had Crosby, Malkin, Letang, and Fleury.
It's UNBELIEVABLE how incompetent this management has been from the top down, including the scouting staff, and the all of the rest of the front office.
Most of these Buffoons did not earn the position they have drastically failed at anyway.
These players are a bunch of freeloaders, with Pettersson and Boeser leading the way.
Why would EP40 want to leave Vancouver, he get's away with doing NOTHING that will improve his, or the team's performance!
He says Vancouver "feels" like home, but is on the first flight back to Sweden when his PATHETIC season is over.
What a joke, and it's hilarious that anyone would fall for that B.S.

  5. Yeah EP40… Change up your traing regimen!!
How about "actually" training in the off season for ONCE! ?!
And the last thing this franchise needs, is EP40 "mentoring" anyone about ANYTHING!! 😂

  6. Boeser seems to have taken B.S. lessons from the best in the game… EP40!! 😂
Pettersson loves it in Vancouver, because the only people who held him accountable were traded away.
Brock is challenging Elias for Conman of the year award!

  7. Demko can do us all a favour and disappear please. How many years does it take for everyone to learn?

  8. Making Hronek Captain would be yet another massive mistake. The man isn't capable of stringing more than 6 or 7 incoherent words together. Nobody would be able to tolerate it.

  9. The thing about preparation and training/accountability: I have never e.v.e.r. met a European elite athlete that does not know how to prepare and w/o work ethic (and I have national team experience). Like never. They always train diligently and hard. The difference is the 16-19 year old NCAA walk-on American hockey players the never really received world class coaching. They can come unprepared. Kessel is obviously both an example and an exception.

  10. Injuries happen. I never lost faith in demko. If however next season he has another injury, then that would be a sign of concern. Petey on the other hand I’m concerned with

  11. Love how all these guys wanna be here. 2 years ago 3 of these guys were all stars. They could be chasing championships and playoffs instead. Huge respect, hopefully management keep them

  12. keep (solid two-way), TRADE (flash in the pan), trade (get value now before he degrades – 64% return rate on this surgery for goalies over 30), TRADE (no commitment) — Boeser is already on a plane back to Minnesota

  13. EP40 has no idea what to do. I think he needs to see a psycotherapist, he is clearly a sensitive guy and he is got some demons in there that need out.

  14. This is total Canucks media BULLSHIT. The Number One question that needs to be asked is to Elias Petterson: "How can you possibly accept your enormous $11.5 million contract, when you have finished the season at #130 in the NHL with a totally unacceptable 15 goals and 36 assists? Aren't you embarrassed that you get paid almost as much as Connor McDavid, for doing about 90% less? Don't you have any pride in yourself as a hockey player, or any sense of being honest with the fans?" If you did, you'd cancel the contract and take a lot less. The truth is — Petey is NEVER going to get any better. He's just putting in the time making millions of $$ until he retires. Anyone who says otherwise is just kidding themselves. This is a huge problem for the future of this team.

  15. For those of you who spent the majority of 2025-26 moaning about the Canucks having acquired Kane at a $5.1M cap hit for the final year of his contract, remember Demko’s cap hit increases to $8.5M AND a full NMC for the next 3 seasons.

Bring that same energy if you want to convince me the hyper-criticism and scrutiny towards Kane has been 100% hockey-related.

  16. as long as peteys here the team culture wont be a good one. sure petey nice but we aint playing pokemon we playing hockey and when u go into a battle u dont want ep40 next to u.

  17. Do they not let Media know what not to ask. I'm sure Petey doesn't wanna talk about the personal stuff right away. You'd think Canucks would say no to some topics

  18. even if Demko is doomed to a short playing career which i honestly dont think is likely, i dont see a world in which he doesnt stay with the team as a goalie coach or some sort of coaching role, so well spoken and passionate
