Losing Dobson hurts as defense is one of Montreal's weaker spots. Carrier is also not at 100%. TB is a physical team and they will throw their weight around. Better goaltending as well. I like the Lightning in 6.

Coin flip. It will depend on goaltending – normally I'd give the edge to Vasilevskiy but Dobes' last two games against Tampa makes me rethink the Habs' chances. Both teams are really strong and it could go either way.

I don't see a sweep this year in the first round even with LA & Colorado. I think LA will at least win one at home for Kopitar.
In this one and I say that as a habs fan, It's gonna go 6 or 7 games. I just can't see either Tampa or Montreal sweep the other. They are actually much closers in term of skills than people realize.
Anderson's gonna need to be in Kucherov face all series long. You just can't leave him alone even for a couple of secs.

I would be really happy if Montreal won this series. I want some new teams deeper in the playoffs.
As a hawks fan who’s family is supposedly allegedly related to Beliveau by extreme distance, I really hope Montreal pulls it off. Feels like it could be another 93 year where everything just falls into place and all cylinders fire right when they need to. One can only hope
Best series in the first round. Going to be competitive and a lot of scrums and fisticuffs. I think the roughness will favor Tampa here. Bolts in 7.

The potential for violence in this series is very high. IMH the Habs should name Florian X. to the playoff roster. Tampa is going to play nasty and we all know Perry should be classified as a domestic terrorist. If the Habs can get through round 1 they might be unstoppable? Enjoy the playoffs, everyone… This is what we watch Hockey for!

Forget the numbers, if you watched these teams play, including against each other, it's clear that Montreal's speed, freshness, and youth is a big problem for TB. And physicality did not work for TB. Montreal in 6.

Habs have one of the most skilled cores in the league but their stars don't have an edge to their game. They'll become the new leafs if one of their core players don't show any aggression. Washington bullied them last year.

If Point wakes up the Habs will have a major problem to deal with he is a major threat when he’s actually playing his best hockey. He is normally a 40 plus goal scorer.

Habs fan here, these MTL wins against Tampa this past season have a huge asterisk because Noah Dobson may not play in Rd 1. He’s such a heavy presence on D that I really don’t think Habs have much of a chance without him
