I haven’t watched this but did anyone ask him about having the lowest WAR in the league??

I can see why the team likes him. Probably the most direct in speaking his mind about what the problems are.

If you didn’t watch: other teams elevate their play down the stretch, we consistently can’t, and he wishes we had more physicality.

Refreshingly honest. He sounds more like the GM or coach giving the answers.

His point about Cat is something I’ve been saying all season, if all the guys showed up and played as hard as Cat night in and night out we’re a much different team.

Did anybody ask why he can’t over his man in the Dzone?
Or why he constantly floats up way too high in the zone leaving guys wide open net front ?

Much more transparent than Larkin. Chairot’s comments were safe for the media/public, but it’s clear he thinks there are guys in the room that don’t play with enough compete or physicality. There has to be significant roster turnover in the offseason to change the culture.

  6. He’s a good interview. Probably a better speaker than he is a hockey player.

  7. Holy smokes Chiarot

Alright, he may mistakes on the ice but listen to this man speak.

Didn’t realize he had such a head on his shoulders and I can see why Yzerman re-signed him just for that alone. Interesting to hear his thoughts about the franchise and team from a bit of a removed perspective for lack of better phrasing, referencing Detroit’s historical favoring of skill over « old school physically hard to play against » and how the group has struggled under pressure for years.

Like what he had to say today.

Well spoken, dude. I can see him as a coach.
