Le 4 juillet, Matiss Kivlenieks, gardien de but des Blue Jackets de Columbus, a été tué dans l’explosion d’un feu d’artifice. Aujourd’hui, nous avons appris qu’il est mort en héros, se plaçant devant son coéquipier, Elvis Merzlikins, ainsi que la femme enceinte d’Elvis, pour les sauver de l’explosion. Il y avait beaucoup d’autres personnes qui auraient pu être touchées s’il n’avait pas fait ce qu’il avait fait aussi. La mort de Matiss a été tragique, et nous devrions le reconnaître en faisant en sorte que son numéro, 80, soit retiré au sein de l’organisation des Blue Jackets, pour ne plus jamais être porté par qui que ce soit.

Buddy, the death is obviously tragic and terrible, but he played 8 NHL games.
I personally agree, however, it may be more realistic if they follow what happened with Pelle Lindbergh. It’s officially not retired but no one has worn it since and they named a team award after him.
