This lines up with the eye test lol. I wonder if Muse will ever give up on that pairing. The results have been largely brutal over a decent sample now.
The trade was still worth it btw. Getting a second for a guy that’s nothing special like Kulak (who is also FA) is still a win.

I knew the Letang and Girard pair was bad last night but God damn, at least Girard showed a bit in the Ozone although we just refused to shoot the puck and work off the rebound.

The one trade I really wish Dubas didn’t make- Letang was doing so well with Kulak. Even if Kulak was nothing special… at least sheltering Letang would’ve been a win last night

Letang and Girard play too similar of a playstyle to be paired up together. They both need a defensive partner that will stay home.

the line could be effective if letang made the shift to being the more stay at home defensive minded partner . girard as a lot more speed while driving the play . but we’ll see what happens the overall performance of this team in the play off hinges on that pairing and goaltending
