  1. Honestly, if this year they have tanked and end up picking 1st or 2nd and therefore (by "pick the best" theory) it is McKenna or Stenberg, then maybe next year if they are just as bad, I can live with it, knowing the draft of 2027 is supposed to be rich with star centres. I mean the club cannot do worse than last, can they? One other reason that "draft by position" is a poor strategy in this case is because the Canucks have serious deficiencies at every type of position. Whoever is the best at any position in this years draft will be the kind of improvement they need.
I am honestly more concerned with their ability to recognize quality players, develop them, and then actually keep the ones who show real on-ice performance. They need to keep guys who play with heart and have the "always switched on" work ethic you need for a winning team, especially (eventually) a playoff team. Well, hopefully whoever the next GM is, they are far better at this than the previous ones have been.

  2. Agreed on all points. It’s so frustrating watching the Canucks organization step on the banana peel time after time, trading away first round picks (three in the past five years) for veterans and signing expensive free agents in the off season to patch up serious holes in their roster. And the endless locker room drama. Just a dysfunctional organization.

  3. I'll say it again, FREDO! He is the NUMBER 1 reason the Canucks suck and will always suck with him in charge. Ever since he became the primary owner every move the Canucks made has been wrong. He's been the family misfit for decades and was running their farm business into the ground so his father bought the Canucks to get him out of their real money making businesses. He is a cancer.

  4. I think the Canucks draft Caleb Malholtra with the third pick and I wouldn’t be mad about further center depth

  5. Chytil needs to be bought out and never skate for the team again. Any/all Americans who aren't completely content to play here at a hometown discount need to be cast aside.

  6. hope they stay there, the most obnoxious fanbase blaming crap, trying to make it into something its not. they are crap. and its not that great of a location to play in.
"lets draft gavin, a canadian, then we are gonna win! yeah!", ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-hahaha… yeah sure..

  7. Between the Canucks and the Jets I'm beginning to think there's a curse that hits any team who blows up the Oilers on opening night.

  8. In the meantime: EVERYONE IN BC, SUPPORT THE VANCOUVER WHITECAPS AND BC LIONS. ⚽ 🏈
Seriously, they have been this city's real championship contenders (and within our lifetimes, championship winners), and should be appreciated more, not sidelined by our media or chased away by some kind of corporate nonsense. These are also teams more in tune with the city's working class. I'm not trying to be a hype man for them, but honestly, compare it to an NHL franchise that has screwed the pooch in every possible way, yet still has the nerve to raise their already-elitist ticket prices even higher. 💰💰💰 🤬

  9. This was the season that my life long fandom dropped out before the season even started. Not just for the Canucks but the sport as a whole.

Used to spend the first day of the playoffs at the TV watching the sport at its best.
The first moments of the Sens-Canes game was proof that the sport no longer appeals to me.

  10. I hope they get another dismal season after this one. First, that eliminates any false hope from the management and owner. Second, they need at least another dismal season to get them another high pick.

  11. As a lifelong fan who recently turned 65, my answer is a definite yes. This year's tire-fire was so epic, that it could be seen as far away as Agassiz! But not as far as Hope due to the numerous regional mountains obscuring the inferno.

  12. I know they're not next in the order, but you might save some time on the Kraken video by using the bullet points on this one and just saving the video for it's proper turn in the order.

  13. Time for a 7th canucks rebrand and this is the time to go back to the naslund bertuzzi cloutier era and bring back the navy blue red and silver early 00s jersey

  14. Good point about the stadium and organization staff. We don't blame the workers. We blame the bosses (and their boss, the owner)! Take that attitude into any sector and any part of town. Workers stand together 💪

  15. Finishing accidentally on Hughes was probably inevitable, but that was short of a rant. Good job.

  16. Vancouver Canucks overall last
Vancouver Whitecaps 1st overall in the MLS but the MLS are threating to move the team
Vancouver Warriors finished 1st in the NLL Standings
BC Lions made the division final last season
Vancouver FC are last in the CPL
Vancouver Canadians are 4th in the Northwest League
Pacific FC 7th in the CPL and are a in real danger of folding
Abbotsford Canucks 9th in their division, 15th in their conference and 29th overall
