Lu, Johnson, Malhotra

Idk about Luongo. Seems like a wishful candidate and I doubt he wants to move his family.
Luongo would definitely be interesting but would he really want to move away from his wife and kids again? I doubt it plus Cioppinos Italian restaurant is gone 🙁
I think I would die if Adams was selected as GM
I’d be very surprised if Lu moved from Florida to Vancouver for this
Luongo? He really knows how to stir the pot lol.
Maybe Luongo can be the first Florida-based GM of Vancouver. It’s all computers nowadays anyhow.
THIS IS TOTALLY FINE, NOTHING TO SEE HERE
Luongo.yes.. Let’s reward the guy who f’ed us with cap implications by coming off ltir to retire for his own benefit.
I hope this org is not that stupid.
GIVE ME LUUUUUU
I know Frank Seravalli isn’t well loved around here but he just said on Canucks Central that the sense is the preference is for an experienced GM.
He also absolutely torched JR for throwing Patrick Allvin under the bus.
Kevyn Adams isn’t the most exciting name, *but* I have to imagine he would be the key to recruiting Sam Ventura to the Canucks.
Have Kevyn Adams come in as Rutherfords’s successor, taking over JR’s duties and dealing with ownership/business operations.
Sam Ventura would be Patrick Allvins successor, and be more of the day2day hockey ops decision making.
I’d love to find a way to have *both* Ryan Johnson & Sam Ventura in the Front Office (with a senior executive above them at the top of Hockey Ops).
Gives them a hockey/development guy in RJ and a data/analytics guy in Ventura.
I’m curious about Adams. He drafted extremely well. Just wonder if he’s capable of learning from his mistakes and how to avoid a rebuild taking 14 years… I think I’m still going with RJ. Luongo as AGM.
Elliott was talking like this hire would be the next hockey BOSS here. Not just GM.
I could see Luongo for that. You definitely do not hire Kevyn Adam’s for that. I think odds are we end up with Bergevin.
According to Bieksa, luuuuuu said “No Comment”
Lu: « His contract sucks… »
Love Lou but no thanks we need someone with gm’ing experience already and hoping gm experience through a successful rebuild previously.
The Buffalo Sabres turned a corner on the ice once Kevyn Adams was let go. Why is he even in the conversation for the Canucks?
Adams built a good team in Buffalo, can’t argue with that.
Luongo? Does he really want to trade sunny Florida for Vancouver, again? Especially a hostile media environment such as Vancouver…
I got the sense when Rutherford mentioned last week that we could see something never done before he was hinting at a possible Sedins front office run. Have them be Co-GMs or Co- Presidents of hockey operations.
In this day and age, hiring former players as general managers don’t work. The general manager role is one of strategic leadership. Leadership in the corporate world, an MBA or law degree is what you need.
Sign Lu yesterday if he wants the job. I couldn’t imagine a more welcoming town for Lu if I tried. Whoever wants to be here most is who I would hire.
It’s a gigantic, massive opportunity for Lu if it’s true. Even if you’ve got family where you are, he’s no stranger to living a long time up this ways.
Lu could yell at Aqua in Italian, so there’s that.
If there is a hockey god who is fair, he will allow luongo to bring a cup to the canucks as a gm.
Please
I keep saying Kevyn Adams excuse was no palm trees in Buffalo. You get him an office somewhere near english bay and unleash that man with the power of the palm trees.
Zero percent chance it’s Luongo.
I dont think louongo at his age and finally getting a cup would want to pick up and move his family accrose the continent.
Kevyn Adam’s made so many bad drafts and having to trade away so many players that turned into stars somewhere else that I know it will happen here as well.
Ryan Johnson is the only one that makes sense as him having a large hand in building the championship team in Abby earned the right
You miss the seawall that much, Luuu??
Luongo has done nothing. Sorry, he was a great Canuck, but being a special assistant and essentially being a legend hire for the Panthers. Kevyn Adams, really? 15 year re-build man.
