Worst Penguins coach since Michel Therrien, hired by the worst GM, praised by fans abode in illusion.
Every player Dubas has chosen, is defensively flawed comprising a one dimensional RnG team that continues to blame bad goaltending while players are literally standing around on defense, turning the puck over fifty percent of the time, needing five goals to maybe win, when the blueprint for success, giving aging stars reasonable opportunities to win instead of unreasonably riding them like Zorro, was so straightforward as the nose on your face, only to ignore it all together, make bad decisions, delayed indecision, then contradict said bad decisions with more of the same.
A team plagued by the same problems, where the coach, reflected over the season, hasn’t improved anything. The only thing the Pens do as a team is score or lose, no team defense, no team physicality, and that falls on the coaches, not the players.
The Pens being able to score in the regular season has been used to hide what was already clear two years ago, calling it success, for what ends who knows, pride, stupidity, doesn’t matter, the outcome is the same.
Wasted three years, when legitimate cup runs were possible. Now, nothing short of luck or a pipe dream is reality.
Once Sid & Gino are gone, no more excuses, only truth & accountability, probably no accountability in these modern times, which is a cancer. He could get lucky I guess, and for me that’s his legacy, so it is possible.
