If you're going to have a #1 guest Brian is a fine choice. Big game tonight. This team has bounced back all season. Let's see what happens. Buffalo is clearly the more talented team, but that's not always the deciding factor in the NHL.
Staying out of the penalty box to preserve the flow of the game if nothing else. Oh, and stop going into a shell. It hasn't worked all year it's not going to start working now.
Not trying to detract too much from Sabres winning, they were fighting hard and I was worried the whole time Bruins would get gassed and lose. The refs didn't help with that Zadorov "penalty" and then against Pasta for "slashing", but no high stick when Pasta got hit in face… It seemed noticeably unbalanced with the calls, and the main one is the sabres player crashing the net full speed knocking Swayman down hard. No call. Then Swayman lost his edge. It is what it is though, that's just how it goes sometimes. I was proud of the kid line, they played great. We will see how tonight goes.

I think it’s also accurate to state that Lohrei and Lindholm was the worst pairing for the B’s in Game One.
Per Moneypuck’s stats: on-ice shot attempts with Lindholm+Lohrei on the ice was Boston = 2 and Buffalo = 17.
That’s a minus 15 shot attempt differential, in about 12:40 of 5v5 TOI.
During construction it was called the shawmut center as Boston is on the shawmut peninsula (pronounced like comet)
This game showed that the Bruins are still a player or two from being a dangerous team. We are playing with house money this year, but I still do not understand when the wheels started to fall off why the coach did not call a time out. This team just has to learn not to panic when the heat is on, everyone tries to do more than they are capable of leading to mistakes that cost them the game. (sorry your vacation fell apart)
If we get no forecheck going and rely on Sway to steal games this will be a short series. We have got to find a way to play in Buffalos end, somehow, some way. And do it all game, none of this going into a shell in the 3rd, it never works for us.

The Bruins defensemen have been the #1 problem on this team since 2023 playoffs. Inability to clear the puck, making horrible mistakes when under physical pressure, not winning board battles, and slow on the back check. I don't want to hear a word about Swayman.
I was kida shocked at the lvl of physicality from the bruins. It felt like the sabers matched and or surpassed the physicality of the bruins and to me thats a problem.
Charlie and Peeke were the very weak game 1 . And our 2 supposedly best scores pasta and Geekie have to bury those missed opportunities. I know pasta had a fluke goal and 2 assists and Geekie had a goal but they missed at least 4 golden opportunities. And most importantly I’m so sick of these broken sticks costing us goals .
I blame PK's SLACKS. Mistakes from the defense was my concern all year. Either they figure it out, or they lose.
Peeke is a detriment, Lindholm is a non factor, Asperiot is a dawg. Zadorov is a 2 minute penalty. Lohrei was decent this game. McAvoy is hanging in there. But they're going to tire out Swayman if they dont clear out the slot.

Legit question here Court. I watched Kuralys post game interview and it sounds like Sturm is telling the players to only play between whistles and to not initiate scrums. Do you think thays the way the Bruins should be playing? I thought this team would play a similar greasy style that the 2011 team played. We're clearly outmatched in skill, so shouldn't the Bruins be trying everything to throw the Sabres off there game? I would love to hear your opinion on this
