This is a going to be good series. There is enough kick-ass on both teams, that the nastiest if just hitting the surface. I knew when coach Q showed up in Anaheim, they'd be in the playoffs.
Oilers got lucky, that last 15 seconds ducks missed a empty net with Ingram out of the net
Edmonton has a lot to be worried about. Without the refs taking the goal away or gudas falling on his ass this game would of been alot different. McDavod got completely shut down all night and Drai was held to assists only. Bouchard and Nurse looked god awful like usual. This could be a better series than I had hoped for. 😂

The Oilers always seem to find depth scoring right in time for the playoffs. Dickinson is looking like a really good pickup for the playoffs
I hate that the Ducks held McDavid off the scoresheet and still lost. Played well for 1 period. Gotta play all 3 in Game 2.

I'm proud of how the Ducks played, too bad they couldn't tie it up in the final seconds and that they gave up the 3-2 lead.
Ducks fan here. Good video! I’m very happy with the ducks performance albeit the veteran group disappointing in the loss. Not expecting to win the series against a hungry McDavid and Draisaitl but if they can keep it close, it’ll be fun 🙂

This is the first time this season that all the oilers starters were able to play in a game…there’s always been multiple injuries this season!
Draisaitl and Hymen will only get better when tge rust wears off, as should the oilers.

as a Ducks fan. yesteday, the Ducks showed they can beat this oilers team. anaheims young core played well. Gudas falling gave the oilers the game. Ducks 2nd and 3rd periods were good until Gudas mistake. may the best team win, it was an exciting 1st game.
So, I need a hand here. The refs waved down a GOALIE INTERFERENCE. However the Ducks didnt get a penalty? Isn't goalie interference a penalty?
We won't win the separatism argument by critiquing CDN heroes. This hurts the cause. Focus on how few bright spots there are in Confederation, don't try to dim the bright spots. It's bad strategy.

If the Oilers are going to start a decline, this could be the year, if not next. The Ducks are up and coming, and could surprise them. Bouchard to me is a huge wild card. He’s great offensively but a nightmare defensively.
