  1. Love the content but i feel these should be breakdowns instead of reviews. You use to actually give your two cents on games before you didnt wanna ruffle other fanbases feathers and i respect that but theres no real review in these anymore just moment by moment breakdowns.

  2. The NHL are dummies. They think 2.5 hours is enough of a gap when the standard used to be 3. And especially with playoff games, duh !
"Well, it's the networks that dictate" some people say, but it is a weak/phony answer. It used to always be 3 hours, so they are just trying to nickel-and-dime both the players and the fans. Another example of enshittification in society, like "tip creep" and "shrinkflation".
The NHL could just say, look, it harms the integrity of the game if you squeeze the time too much – they have bargaining power when they sign those contracts to provide content to the networks/streamers, to defend the integrity of the sport and the fan experience. But does Bettman care about that stuff? No. Did he ever? No.
At the same time, if the networks are forever whining about games going too long for their TV schedules, he's this great invention that the league could try, which would not work in the playoffs, but definitely does in the regular season: tied games. That's right, if 60 minutes of game play ends and nobody is ahead in the score, just say "the result is a draw, 1 point to each team" and that's it. An amazing innovation there, right? No fake 3 on 3 OT, no shootout – you just accept that evenly matched teams get an equal number of points. Oh, my god, what a bizarre idea ! 😱

  3. Malkin actually double high sticked. He was holding both sticks on that play. Should have received a double minor for the one stick and another minor for the second stick.

  4. Risto did punch the CryBaby in the head! But how many times did Risto get punched in the face with a gloved fist by Pens players after the whistle and nothing, no whistles? How many cross-checks by the Pens on Zegras? One guy went at Zegras back, at the whistle, and it looked like a back breaker, no whistle. The Refs blow the whistle when Crosby tells them to.

  5. You're right…..LOL….Flyers suck at the PP! Next year they might be better, can't be worse, since they are at the bottom of the pile anyway.

  6. I was at this game. It was awful. Stu was the bright spot. If only the Pens didn’t keep giving the Flyers free 2-on-0 opportunities.

  7. Risto wasn't arguing that he didn't punch Crosby. He was arguing that Crosby punched him first and then he was hit by the guy behind him.
Crosby goes down arm goes up.

  8. Penguin's looked very old and slow, fair play to Philly for exploiting there weaknesses. Felt bad for Skinner, he's not the reason they are 0-2. 🤕

  9. risto barely touched crosby? and that was right after crosby had done the same on the other end with no penalty?

  10. The defense from Philly is just suffocating. At one point Pittsburgh had more powerplays than shots on goal, and that top-10 PP is now 0/7 through the first two games. It's brutal.

With all the young, flashy, talented offensive players on this roster, Tocchet has them buying-into defensive hockey. His vision is seemingly here.

If you had told me that Zegras, Michkov, Foerster, and Tippett would have a combined two (2) points through the first two games of this series, I'd suspect the Pens were up 2-0. Instead, these young guys are completely bought-in to this style of play.

  11. I own 3 rescued rabbits myself. Fun Lil guys.
Flyers are young and playing intense, hard hitting, aggressive playoff hockey. Penguins are just playing hockey. Might be Philly in 4.

  12. If you watch the replay in slow motion Malkin's left had is holding the Flyer's players stick and pulling it up so you could say he hit the guy in the face with 2 sticks.

  13. This is off topic a bit, but I just want to say that you’re the best there is with hockey content and I appreciate how objective you manage to stay.

  14. That was such a fun game. And I understand you were busy, but we've been waiting impatiently for a Tony the Tiger magnet for Vladar, and nothing. I am kidding, thanks for doing the reviews.
