Kind of had that « Panicked deer in headlights » vibe the latter half. Not how you win playoff hockey.
Outshot, out skated. That is the ugly truth.
Went from telling Cooley they were going to kill him to letting him get the winning goal. Effort was just terrible. Also Eichel has been MIA both playoff games.
VGK looked like they had bricks on their feet in the 3rd. A step behind on damn near every possession

Lotta gliding around from Eichel lately. Doesn’t look assertive at all. Not a threat on the PP either. Just sits with the puck on the half wall. Marner was a ghost too. Team got worked the last 2 periods. Utah looked a lot faster and weren’t afraid to shoot. Got plenty of slot shots. Not overly confident in this series.
After the first period, the energy on the VGK side was that of a mid Jan game against a team nobody cares about. Utah played this like a playoff game.
Hertl seems unplayable lately.
That was irritating, but I’m not sweating.
Should not have lost this one. Mistakes and speed beat us. Not happy about this one.
The middle 6 is giving us absolutely nothing 5on5. Doro now at 11 playoff games and only 2 points.
I dont want to see Hertl next season at VGK.
Besides face-offs (even those are around 50/50), guy is useless. Slow, soft and stupid. Get him off.

Eichel has been almost a non factor and it’s 1-1 and could easily be 2-0. Need him to finally wake up from his Olympics hangover.
Thoroughly outplayed in the third. That doesn’t happen very often.
Still took horrific puck luck and officiating for Utah to squeak out the win. Should be fine moving forward.
Absolute dogshit effort tonight after the first period. Too many stupid penalties also.
Need to make the Mammoth feel more uncomfortable. Hit the snot out of Cooley, Keller, and Gunther more next game, please. Can’t keep letting them roam around freely – they literally have no secondary offense outside of those guys (and our own goals).
What would the playoffs be without adversity. Let’s get back on the horse and get the next one in Utah.
I went back and watched a compilation of every goal from our cup run the other day, and the one thing that immediately stuck out is just how much our offensive thrived on the chaos created by putting shots toward the goal.
Our guys today looked the exact opposite. Just lazy indecisive offense.
We literally play better defense against McDavid than we do Cooley. It’s unbelievable

Completely flipped the physical play style from game one, and it clearly hurt. Hoping for a very physical game plan the rest of the series.
Disappointing night for sure. I do feel better that Utah for sure would have lost if we didn’t score in our own net. Hopefully Torts and the guys go over tonight’s game and come back fighting on Friday. It’s playoff hockey. Go Knights Go! 🖤💛

Complete 180 from game 1, looks like something was said. Lot of knights held up on finishing hits.
Shea getting caught flat footed in the neutral zone and not staying with the play, that was the turn around. And our power plays and the 6th skater, spent too much time trying to find the right shot, they need to take what is given. Get pucks to the net fight for a rebound, and win the board battles. Utah dominated the neutral zone after the 1st period
