This series is over… They look uninspired with zero sense of urgency or want to. Letang is washed, Girard was a mistake, and no finish no resistance Novak all should be benched.
I’ve seen the Pens come back from a 2-0 deficit a few times in their playoff runs since 2008. If we win next game we are right back in it. If we lose though then that’s a wrap.
Two things can be true, Girard is ass and Letang is ass. They can’t be paired with each other. But absolving Letang of any amount of blame because he’s paired with Girard is insane. Muse probably told Letang he’s scratched next game, so might as well go try and get suspended.
The commentators last night noted the average age on ice for the Pens was 31. I feel like there's a saying about old dogs and tricks. The game has changed in the last decade and its obvious the pens haven't kept up with the times. Luckily, Dubas appears to already know this but unfortunately it'll take time to adjust. Remember, we were never supposed to be here, and to expect to win this series would be a full blown head-in-the-clouds moment.

You have to have the will, and want to, to put the hard work in to beat the trapping system. Flyers are no Juggernaut, they're an average team. Limited offense, bad PP. Get it behind the net, make the goalie and defensemen move, and turn.
Chinakhov on the third line might be a blessing in disguise…he is a threat no matter who is on his line. They are focusing on shutting down the top 2 lines.

I watched Novak coast, nearly standing still on the shorty and the other goal if he even bothered to skate at all. You are exactly right. This team needs to make guys accountable. I want Novak and Girard out, I’ve been calling for Girard to be replaced since game one. It’s bad, he’s falling down when trying to retrieve the puck and hanging it over to the flyers, he’s panicking when pressured.
