I don’t put too much stock in the last 20 games of this season. The 2025-26 New York Rangers were the greatest collection of 3rd liners. Since there is too much cap space devoted to a streaky scoring Center who doesn’t play defense and a center that has issues with the locker room and vice versa (both on the books till 2030) they need everything. The lottery is one way this franchise can start to turn it around. McKenna, Stenberg, Reid…all really good players to add then Malhotra and Verhoeff who may need a couple seasons to develop. I don’t expect the Rangers back in the post season for 2-3 seasons.
I'm starting to wonder why I root for a team whose G.M.doesnt explain his failures and an owner who avoids Stanley Cups like a boss.
Edstrom has reach, size and can skate. But Sullivan wont play him if it means Sheary sits. Edstrom is destined for success………somewhere else.
Be patient like the MTL Canadiens. Their rebuild took 4,5 years. Look at them now. (Jeff Gorton has to thank Marc Bergevin for Suzuki, Caufield and Dobes + he drafted very well). They will soon be a powerhouse. The Rangers need to hit few homeruns in this year draft.
The room was more optimistic then last year are we joking 😂

I wonder how you move guys like Troch or Schneids. They are talented; they are good guys; and they want to be RANGERS! These are people I want to root for. Boy… it's not just data. Guys that I like – play for the crest, each other, and the fans.
The furure is now; a smart, disciplined, hard working, gritty team with a great goalie can win against most of the League.

Right here, right now I miss Larry Brooks more than ever. This team, its season, the coaches and gm would all be getting their proper eulogy, instead twiddle dee and twiddle dumb want to draw hearts and smiley faces around the last 30 games.
drury is a dud. made many mistakes, needs to go. coach needs to be better, he is not in pittsburg any more.
