Maybe I’m bedarded but I weirdly picked Montreal to win the division this year
But tbf I didn’t see the Buffalo sabres train coming so I only thought their competition for first was Tampa.
The thing that gives me hope is the team is like 2 years away from hitting their peak and they’re already going to war with a veteran team with pedigree like Tampa.

I’m amazed we had the consistency to win that many games. Especially with the trouble we had with goaltending
Yeah the season Suzuki, Caufield and Slaf had might hurry some things up a bit.
Team is in that phase where the balance is delicate between « present » and « future ».
Hughes always been targeting RFAs (Dach, Newhook, Dobson) in the right age bracket (early 20’s). Now we gotta see if he stays on it, or switches it up and goes more for late 20’s players already signed to terms.
