They really make sure to avoid the big boys, one thing i’ll say is cole needs to find a way to make an impact. That line has been dominated when not on the power play
I mean they’re not really intimidating are they. They don’t challenge the big guys on our team, the only time someone did anything was Sabourin from behind. Ive yet to see any of them act up when Anderson/Xhekaj/Struble are on the ice. They’re just a bunch of pretenders
Marty’s 5’6” and always played huge in playoffs. He’s never been scared of anyone and he’s setting the tone for his team.
Habs are not as soft as any of us thought apparently… but their game is still agility and pace… they stay away from stupid penalties and they will beat these assholes from Tampa
If they want to keep taking dumb penalties trying to be « intimidating » I say bring it on.

Here’s my bold prediction:
If one of the teams is leading by 2-3+ goals in the last minute of the game, there’s gonna be a full on line brawl, goalies included.
I could see Dobes being crazy enough to challenge Vasilevskiy. Vasy probably wins that fight. But there’s that feeling in the air for me, something crazy is going to happen in one of the 2 games in Montreal.
SET THE TONE.
They don’t seem intimidating to me. They seem pathetic. Like they are trying so hard to intimidate but our guys barely even register them. They remind me of those little dogs that are all bark no bite.
Some grown men are intimidated by emotional displays, maybe that’s the angle they’re going for?

Bunch of sly rat fucks they are not intimidating at all. Playing dirty is not tough. I’d love to see them throw down with Arber or Struble. Hell even Dach can throw hands when he feels like it (he don’t often feel like it tho)
Let the Lightning do whatever shenanigans they do, Habs has to play strong and direct. Just keep moving and hitting. And take lots of shots.
They’re not intimidating at all, kind of the opposite if you ask me.

Most guys aren’t intimidated but some are. Demidov, Texier and Kapanen are not confortable in these games
Just because a team is loud, obnoxious and clowning around doesn’t make them tough or intimidating. Tampa comes off as pissy and unable to control their emotions.
Ignore their stupid antics and put it in the net.
Fair enough but Slaf post-fight was a different player.
Last year it really felt like the Habs were a young team that ran up against an older & more experienced squad that bodied them out of the playoffs. Felt like we didn’t have the tools to go toe-to-toe with that kind of game.
Doesn’t feel that way at all this year.
I know the Habs want to return the energy they’re receiving. And they’ve done it well. That said, stick to your speed and skill. TB wants nothing else but to slow the game down because it takes the Habs out of their element and into the Lightning’s. Don’t do it. It’s a trap
