For some reason they appeared to have no urgency and determination. The 5 on 3 for over a minute was beyond awful. On Carolina’s second goal two players were watching the Carolina player at the blue line. No way he should have successfully kept the play in the Sens zone. That’s a beer league move.

Went to the game with my boys tonight… honestly brutal. The Ottawa Senators looked completely out of it from the start. Getting scored on before the first TV timeout set the tone, and it never felt like they played with any urgency after that.
The 5-on-3 for almost a minute and a half was embarrassing, half the time just entering and exiting the zone with nothing to show for it. Even my 8-year-old noticed they barely had any offensive zone time all game.
Fans showed up, the energy was there, but the effort on the ice didn’t match it. That’s the frustrating part.

What push? The third period did not result in a scoring chance for Ottawa. The offensive game was embarrassing tonight, especially Ottawa's attempts at a pass. This team looks worn out and distracted. Excellent game by Linus, the best player for Ottawa in this series. The power play looks like Ottawa is scared of being checked and the the passing is too finesse and disconnected. I think the players have had enough "adversity for this season".

Travis Green needs to rip into the the players after this horrendous performance. My first playoff game and what a disappointment. No rhythm, every dump and chase was matched with a half ass forecheck, Stutzle doing too much, very little scoring chances. They gave the crowd nothing to work with, the fans did their job tonight. Now let's play some actual hockey next game. Stop talking up Carolina, they did not play a good game by any means either. Carolina did not win this game, the Senators lost this game.
The scores have been tight, but the games have not. Green is so full of it. Multiple times of guys giving up, dumping the puck in and not chasing, throwing the puck into no man's land. Whether you see or not, it really doesn’t help that the Canes have knocked out our top pair of defense. It’s clear that they are able to perform best without Zub and Sanderson on the ice, and have completely exposed how much Chabot has declined as a defensemen. Next season, hopefully Pinto Zett and Chabot are all playing elsewhere. They aren’t far from being a contender, but we will never win a round with the players I named

I don’t think Brady will be back next year. He seems checked out. He hasn’t been consistent and we only get glimpses of his best. Chabot is overrated and always out of position and can’t throw a hit to save his life. Stutzle is not an elite player just a good player. He makes alot of give aways. The only consistent play is ullmark can’t complain about his play so far.
