Hamilton was playing pretty poorly for a few months. Suddenly, after he finds himself a healthy scratch, he miraculously rediscovers his game, and returns to his usual point-per-game (or close to it) production. What does this tell we about Douglas Hamilton? It tells me, that he was DOGGING IT for a large portion of the season. There’s a reason why he’s heading for his FIFTH team, at only 32 years-old. He’s a great player, but will become lazy if you allow it and God knows, Fitzgerald was right up his alley having admitted to running the organization like a “country club.”
Edmonton is in trouble, and I thought so from the beginning. You cannot play offensive hockey when you cannot trust your goaltending. Anaheim has the better coach.
The insiders are being used to misdirect, and some are paid!!
Do not worry hockey fans the weasel just gave Ottawa the first round pick before it is actually picked, how much money did Ottawa give the weasel for that.
I can’t understand how all of these social media folks keep overlooking the fact that
A) They drafts picked form had no franchise players to immediately move the needle and he never won a lottery. Most teams that find a short term turn around had won them or at least picked in the top 3 — this never happened for him.
B) WIDELY REPORTED that free agents don’t want to come there. Hughes of course but there is 3-4 more.
So let’s recap:
-never won a lottery in 7 years
-no generational talents in said drafts.
-multiple reports of players not wanting to go there.
-said time and time again that it could take a long time and there is no ETA (likely because he knows these things)
So dumb why folks keep overlooking that and say “well Yzerman out the team together”
Like he is picking some of these players by choice vs necessity.
Why does anyone think he was going to have immediate success?
Reality is Yzerman is doing what he can but let’s not talk like he can just do whatever he wants, get whatever he wants and is choosing this path.
