I'm worried about Connor McDavid burning out. Just look at how skinny he's getting. His face is showing bones. He's expending a massive amount of calories each game because he's getting overworked and not being able to replenish his energy.

I think the “eventually” is the issue here. How long will “eventually” be?? Tonight?? Game 4??? Game 5?? No one knows. And by the time that “eventually” comes around may be game 5 ducks lead the series 3-1 in the 2nd. Or maybe it’s tonight.

Nuge moving up with McDavid might get those guys going which isn't a terrible idea because we'll probably have to score 6 goals to win. The current bottom 6 though still leaves a lot to be desired in terms of balance and chemistry. I expect the 4th line to get even less ice time if we get behind early. McDrai will end up playing 30 minutes in a losing effort.
McDavid’s elite plays typically come from: 1. The middle of the ice 2. East–west cuts inside the dots 3. Pulling defenders toward him to create seams. Quenneville’s Counter: 1. Defensemen angle, don’t lunge, 2. Stick‑on‑puck, body‑on‑lane, 3. Second defender arrives inside first.
As Result: 1. McDavid ends up outside the dots 2. Forced into sharp‑angle shots or resets, 3. Less ability to pull coverage toward him
Quenneville is okay giving McDavid the puck as long as it’s away from the middle….. McDavid have to adjust his strategy…..McDavid doesn’t need to be “more aggressive” against Quenneville’s Ducks. He needs to be more deceptive.

The oilers power play might stay at 0% if drisidal keeps going to that severe angle he goes to take the one timer shot he keeps getting closer to the boards and at a more severe angle it seems every game that goes by.
