Michkov is due for a big game. Keep showing him the love.
You know you need to go buy another jersey before puck drop Saturday, yeah? If you don’t and we lose, we’re coming for you.
MICHKOV YOU WILL NEVER SEE THIS, BUT I LOVE YOU AND YOUR MY 🐐
Michkov is going to prove all the haters wrong. This season is just a sophomore slump after escaping Russia and being free for once while getting paid finally.
I’ve watched a total of 3 Flyers games this season (all in the past week!), so feel free to tell me I’m a moron… But I do not get the sense that Michkov is part of the long-term plans for this team. I would bet on him getting traded sometime next season unless he has a breakout year.
Same here! I ordered my 10 year old a Michkov jersey and it arrived Wednesday just in time for the game. I wish I could post a pic of him wearing it proudly
you sexy beast you
No doubt in my mind that the more success Tocchet appears to have, the more and more likely it will be that Michkov will not have a long career as a Flyer.
Tortorella adjusted his coaching style to try and get the most out of Mich and deliver some personalized teaching. Tocchet is all about tough love, won’t even pronounce his name right, and only moved him to RW because management told him to. We have seen Tocchet’s complete lack of trust negatively impacting Michkov’s confidence and it is not a long-term dynamic that will lead to success.
In many ways, I think the Flyers are the worst possible franchise for a player like Michkov. He was their leading scorer since the Olympic break, but they don’t include him in their gameplan at all. After losing to Edmonton in game 1, Quinville figured out ways to get Gauthier more ice and in more situations to impact the game.
