    Experience matters in a rebuild. Sure, maybe a guy who was an AGM during a successful rebuild would work. Maybe there’s an AGM in San Jose or Anaheim who might be available. But someone with zero experience got us Benning.

    Coaches need to develop just like players need to develop. A rookie coach will make mistakes, but a good rookie will learn and grow from those mistakes. Same with a rookie GM.
    Canucks lack stability. They are constantly in flux. They change their coach literally every 2 years and expect players to learn completely new systems on a regular basis.

    If the Canucks are truly committed to this rebuild, bring Manny up to the big show now and let him start on the ground floor with all the new faces this team so badly needs! Malhotra and the group of veterans who are still here could guide their development tremendously well.
