I think everyone is making too much of the analytics piece. If a team isn't using analytics at all as one part of their decision making then they are doing their team a disservice and putting it at a disadvantage. But is is only one piece … you don't use analytics ad nothing else. Good managers will use whatever good information they have access to when doing an alaysis. IF you are not doing that then you are not good at your job.
There is not an experienced NHL GM out there that would want to come into this dysfunctional environment in Toronto
