As a Hawks fan, Kopitar with Doughty and King and Quick made up a good portion of some of the best times of my life between 2010-2014. I'm gonna miss seeing his name in the lineup. What a career and what a player. It's official folks, we're getting old now too.

Remember when Kopitar came into the league, peak Kings vs Blackhawks era both teams were so loaded. Kings had i think Jared Stoll as a lowline center he wouldve been top 2 lines on any normal team, just stacked
One of the best, a class act. Incredible to watch all the way up in Edmonton. I really started following him more in 2007, became a fan of his hard but clean play and uncanny one handed abilities. So happy to watch him and Brown hoist two cups. What a gamer!

For Kopi, I was hoping the Kings would not make the playoffs towards the end of the season. They were not good enough for the playoffs.
It would have been a much better send off if the Kings didn’t make it to the playoffs.
Now instead, Kopi’s final game will be remembered as a 5 to 1 loss and getting swept in the first round.
That sucks for a player as great Kopitar.

I'm a Sharks fan, yet I find this to be moving. The way he looked up into the stands like that before the final face-off for him. … The Kings are probably my most hated rival team, and I absolutely despise people like dustin brown and Jonathan kwik-e-… But I have never disliked Kopitar. Even if he scored a series-ending OT goal against the Sharks (not sure if he did), I still couldn't hate him. He's a good guy

A. Kopitar is the only player closest my country before Slovenia was declare independent. Yugoslavia was the name before everything broke away. Including other Hockey players that were forced to named Nikolai during that era!
Mad that a guy from such a minor hockey nation (generally competing at the same level of worlds as the likes of Great Britain, Japan and Italy) could have such a profound impact on the sport. Hope he now helps the sport grow back home.

Из всех 4 камбэков в плей офф за 100 лет, я увидел камбэк именно Лос-Анджелеса с Сан Хосе в 2014 году с участием Копитара. Вытянули 0-3 уступая. По итогу 4-3 и взяли второй Кубок. Это было эпично. Может пингвины в этом году сделают с лётчиками? Было б хорошо,как говорится, увидеть Париж и можно умереть😂. Париж то я видел, но помирать не собираюсь, пока пингвины не сделают камбэк😂.
