If you don’t think that was a goal I urge you to seek mental help today. Please. 🙏
Who is the Gen Z DEI hire that wrote the headline for this video???? By INCHES???? It was by MILLIMETRES, not inches. The stupid headline pissed me off and ruined the video for me. Do they know that incheS (which means a minimum of TWO) means a minimum of 50.8 mm? The NHL has no credibility.
Have seen many similar situations where the goal was not counted. Was it in? Yes, probably. Was there 100% visual proof it was over? No. Had no idea which way they were going to call that.
Im not a fan of ducks or Oilers (Flyers).
That was 100% a goal.
Anyone thinking it wasn't. Is a fan of the oilers or dislike the ducks.
That was about an inch past the line, until the dman pushed it back.
I can tell its over
Its not a oval puck
the announcer is an idiot……. draw a fricking line and u can see the puck is past the line!
There’s no way we already have sensors inside the pucks but we still have to play this stupid game imaging where the edge of the puck is
USA…cheating again…😅😂😅😂..
Nothing makez me happier than evrryone bringing up simple geometry to determine if this was a goal, way to go guys and gals way to use what you learned in school
Republic ref.
Oilers about to get bounced in the first round 😂
As a city kid who got into hockey because of the Might Ducks movies, I have been with the Ducks ever since. This has been one of the funniest series I remember watching. Hockey is an amazing sport. I think they need to promote the game better. This game was dope.
that is way over the line anyone can see. Good goal. People will always complain to take out the frustration. Edmonton has no goalie and no defense.
Inches isnt close…
This league is corrupt AF.
You can tell it was across the line. Circumference of the puck shows it to be across the line. Doesnt matter that the skate blade obscures the whole puck.
Isn't a ref supposed to be in position behind the net???
The ref #88, at the bottom of the video moves towards the blue line to get away from the puck.
But he should have backed up.
So he is out of position as the puck goes towards the goal.
And the other ref doesn't go near the goal either.
What are they doing???
Oh look…. nurse on the ice for another goal….
It’s just a circle and it was in. Now move on.
Aint no way that ref could see annnnnything
As a Ducks fan, we've experienced YEARS of close calls not going Anaheim's way (including non-calls). It's nice to see that trend reversing.
Well, we can certainly determine that the rulebook is about to be re-written because of this catastrophe in a playoff game.
Logically, and mentally, this is 100% over the line.
By their own rulebook, you cannot say that puck is 100% over the line because of the skate. Sucks for Edmonton, but Anaheim has all the momentum now.
100% a goal lol
As a Knights fan, Go Ducks!
Clearly in. Suck it Edmonton 😜
On obvious call
As a Sharks fan, good goal. And I HATE the Ducks.
What annoys me with this call, is that the refs blew the whistle without saying its a goal. Then they be like , hey we didnt see the puck in, but lets say it was a good goal. Refs are really bad this year.
Based on the dimensions of both the puck and the line, you can assume it’s a goal. However, assuming, according to the rules is not sufficient. If the standard is you MUST see the puck cross the line, those standards are not met. No goal!
The moment they ruled the call on the ice was a good goal, Edmonton was pretty much doomed on the outcome. If it was no goal on the ice, not sure they overturn it on the views we got. Since it was a goal on the ice, i think the same thing would've applied here (kinda wondering if the ref mispoke as confirmed rather than call on the ice stood). It's conclusiveness not logic that determines it, else there'd be no discussion. I don't really care either way on the outcome, just thinking that they had no chance of ever overturning the call on the ice once it was made.
Okay I say the puck has completely crossed the line. HOWEVER! There never was visual proof the entire puck crossed the line. More times then not it’s ruled No goal. Even though all of us with common sense knows it’s across for a goal.
Oh man if I was an oilers fan I’d be shittin myself
