I can't believe this whole goal thing is an issue. Take the photo into goddamed photoshop, draw a line over the red line, draw a circle over the puck (compensating for parallax) and see it's over the line. How has the whole hockey community not figured this out.

Listen to Messier explain how he went about talking to his fellow teammates in order to make sure they're good, or if they need a kick in the pants, so that EVERYONE on the team is on the same page. Then think WTF Matthews says hahahaha. Mess is a rare breed, TRUE leader, but I think he had as strong hockey/personal relationships with the 20th guy on the team, as he did with the top dawgs

Guys, when looking for these play off games, Toronto as hockey team is miles away from being a play off team.
When you look the team structure , talent prospects and coaching now , they won' t have next season even a chance against Carolina, Tampa, Florida, Buffalo, Montreal.
Even the teams like Ottawa, Philly, Rangers and Prnguins are much better teams than Toronto.

With a chip in the direct centre of the puck you have the centre point, you know the radius of the puck, the dimensions of the rink are fixed in all cases, the positions and width of all the lines are fixed and known – you can absolutely determine whether it's a goal (you don't even need sight of the puck)
