FireYzerman he has had plenty of time to get to at least the playoffs, I understand his history in Detroit but it’s time the fans have waited long enough.
I don’t think it’s the scouting staff… I think it’s the player development… Cleary has overseen player development since 2017, and we’ve developed nobody!!!

Red Wings needs to follow Chicago's path. Stop going to games. The only reaction Yzerman and this front office got is when fans Booed them off the ice. Franchises get rewarded when fans go missing. Go back and review the last few lottery drafts. The teams that needed a spark in attendance got top picks and our team who was the worst team in NHL history because fans show up has never won or moved up in this bs draft system.
Couldn't agree more. Some talking heads are saying we are a 1C or great 2C away. W.T.F. are they smoking. The culture is completely dead and free agents dont wanna come here. Our pipeline is 2nd line talent at best. (Excluding goalies and ASP) salary cap rising so other star talent won't be hitting free agency anyways.
We are so far apart from the rest that Im ready to punt next season. Play all the kids and let them gain some experience. Hope for a top 5 pick. Stop drafting 3rd line 200 foot forwards. Kasper and Danielson top 10 picks back to back really hurt. I also don't want to see Yzerman make anymore desperation trades. We seen how that worked out with Faulk. Treat next season as a learning experience. There's ZERO way we're making the playoffs so the only thing we have to look forward to is watching our prospects play and grow. Because we are so far apart from our competition I see no other way🤷♂
As currently constructed, it would take the light from playoff contender around 250 million years to reach the Red Wings.
If the Wings acquire Auston Matthews, Alex Tuch and Mason Marchment this offseason they will be playoff contenders. I give that about a 1% chance of happening though

More teams need to do business like the Patriots. No loyalty contracts, constantly looking 3-5 years out, always find replaceable pieces with a few core players. Larkin, Cat, Mo, Raymond, and Edvinsson are the core. Everyone else should be replaceable if they underperform. McLellan talking about intensity and Yzerman saying we need better players is so gross to me. Gut the team.
Im finally glad the fanbase is seeing that we have a slow old team and need a major shakeup , players that play hard and hit the other team and actually want to win.

I agree with scouting staff being terrible. By the way I was saying 15 years ago that Wings will not be competitive for 20-25 years. I am right so far. And maybe even longer, if this organization will stay the same from the top to bottom

With how bad our offense was on 5v5 this year, I hope it puts a fire under Tanguay to change it drastically because clearly it's not working. It will do that or it will burn him enough that he would need to be replaced. I am hoping for the former option above the latter option

Given the GR Griffins record this year, MOVE THE ENTIRE TEAM UP IN SEPTEMBER. They can't be any less than what we currently have.
