So you …..tell the Oilers not to overreact????????? But the Leafs have to tear it down?????
Oilers have decided a while ago that it's going to be offence first . Their top D men are offensive minded . Add in a mediocre goaltending tandem and they are left with the only option of having to have to outscore their lack of defence . Now this team most games has that ability but the defensive shortcomings seem to become more apparent in the playoffs .
Martin Jones can be signed. He steals games!
Ducks fan here, remember when Steve laughed at the prospect of the ducks making the playoffs?
It's over.
Over!
Judge Judy
Getting an Oilers fan's perspective of an Oilers' game is entertaining as hell. They don't live in reality.
Not this time.
Nope. They are a deeper team. And a younger team.
Here's an interesting question who has been the best player this series?
Sorry Oilers, these aren't the LA Kings who will get beat by their own incompetent coach.
Tim Washe was the captain of the 2025 Western Michigan team that won the natty for the first time in their history. He might be a nobody in the nhl, but he definitely can handle big situations 🫡🫡
No.
Haven’t the Oilers only won 3 games in row 2 times all season? And they have to do it against a team that clearly has them figured out? Idk man, Oilers might be done
Anaheim should've won game 1.
I feel like a proud father watching so many teams emulate my Panthers. And to neutralize McDavid you have to hit him and you have to have a couple of guys rotate to him every time he touches the puck. I said when he re-signed to the Oilers that it was the worst contract signing of a player of his caliber that I've ever seen across all sports. He'll never win a cup in Edmonton. And Edmonton will never get rid of Nurse because McDavid wants him there. And Bouchard will always have major defensive lapses.
Oilers = cooked
16:20
Oilers might be done just saw Friedman reporting Mcdavid and Dickinson are game time decisions
Oilers in 7. Trust McDavid. Trust the Bowmaplan
It's so cool seeing the Ducks get so much positive attention for once.
I hope they lose and he demands a trade this summer
I'm an avid Oilers fan. I have been an oilers fan since their 5 cup wins. I don't see the point of even winning this round. I don't see a scenario under their current situation, where they make round 2. They had a terrible season lacking cohesiveness and consistency. They've been injury prone and they're obviously fatigued from being a playoff team the last 4-5 years. An early exit this year enables healing and team restructuring….. they need to get some speed and size back in this lineup. And adding at least one strong wrist shot sniper would be glorious!
Lol saying the refs went easy on ducks is criminal, didnt oilers demolish senekka and all they got was a 2 min penalty ? Purposely trying to injure key players in playoffs is dirty af
McD game time decision if he’s playing. That should tell you why ducks are looking the way they do against him. Not to take away from t but they are defending a lame duck right now. No pun intended.
Its always groundhog day for the Oilers – REFS, COACH, GOALIE is their samsara cycle. It's clearly organizational issues at the top that create domino effects like Nurse's contract. Media here always focusing on individual players and never critical with the organization because they are all very chummy.
They look worn out and McDavid might not even today play due to the injury
I'm not sure if Brobrovsky is the answer especially when everyone on this panel admits it's not goaltending that's preventing the Oilers from winning the cup.
As a ducks fan the ducks should have won game 1, the refs have been with the oilers 100% games 1 through 3. Game 4 I think the oilers should have won and the refs were more on the ducks side. Either way I think if the ducks play hard for 60 minutes they are the better team. The problem is they don't play the whole 60 minutes.
Olive Oil, Baby Oil, Cooking Oil, Ducks in
Bro, no. Nurse should be in the ahl. He’s terrible.
Lacombe has easily been the best player of this series
Just stop with the cope already.
Here is hoping no Canadian team makes it out of the first round.
I really appreciate some people finally saying positive things about what the ducks are doing really well vs. what’s wrong with the oilers. No bias production 🫡
Regarding the Ducks having their 4th line out there vs McDavid, Coach Q did similar with the Hawks in their 2015 cup run in their last two rounds (vs Ducks–ironically–and Bolts). Doesn't surprise me one bit.
Why didng oilers get silovs i still dont get it
What are the ducks doing. Don't they know the best strategy to win in the playoffs is to play your top line 30 minutes a game the entire regular season for 3 straight years. I think you get my point.
The Ducks are scary. They are a good mix of vets and speedy youth. If they can figure out how to play consistent defense then I can see them going far. I could see them making a wcf appearance.
As an Oilers fan losing in round 1 vs the ducks is a better option then losing in round 3 vs the stars, wild, or avalanche
I don't think anyone has the Oilers beating those 3 teams so Stanley Cup chance is really not for the Oilers this year, losing earlier in the playoffs will hopefully be the push management needs to do something with McDavid,
Next season will be cup or bust for Edmonton. And I don't see McDavid wanting to stay if they aren't contending
Playoffs are won with the 3rd and 4th line
Nope. The Oil is cooked.
LETS GO DUCKS
No. 90% of teams leading the series 3-1 go on to win. All time. The last time the Oilers came back from a 3-1 deficit to win a series was '98. Almost 3 decades ago. It's not happening.
Im afraid now that the awful management is going to use the injuries as an excuse to not make the coaching change, GM change and player changes they need to make.
I think a lot of the analysis of this series is overstating things a lot. It probably should be 2-2. Very close in every game.
No. The Oilers need a real defenceman. You can not tell me the coach is asking Bouchard to play hockey.
This season isnt on Evan, I said 3 games im early stop asking him to pinch. Minus 6. Because he is being asked to be Makar.
Of course they can
