As a Canadian I am in tears watching thousands of people wearing Sabre's jerseys singing my National Anthem. Even given the fact that they have a tyrannical dictator for a President that constantly puts down Canada and berates it's leaders, it is comforting to know that the average American citizen is still grounded in truth, love and brotherhood. I salute Buffalo New York and the good citizens in that arena.

I've travelled (for work mostly) in more than 30 countries in Europe Asia Africa and Central and North America. The only place I've been where it didn't feel like I've left home is the USA. Everytime I stepped in US soil, it just feels like home. Best neighbor Canada could have. Our friendship will last forever ! Respect to Buffalo, and MERCI from Montréal !

I've lived my entire life in Buffalo (57 years) I could literally see Canada from the end of my street across lake Erie from Lake View NY. The question isn't why we know the words to the Canadian National Anthem by heart, the question is why doesn't the entire NHL fan base know it by heart. We have been singing the American and Canadian national anthems before every hockey game in Buffalo franchise history. We all accept that hockey was born in Canada, every team should be singing both anthems.

Grew up in Buffalo and the surrounding area. Spent summer vacations in the Muskoka Lakes area and visited Crystal Beach many times. We love Canada just as we love the Sabres. Of course, we will always stand by them.
